We generated 70 leads for a B2B client last month. No cold emails, no Google ads, no influencer marketing. How? I got a call in December. It was James on the other side who runs an artisanal tofu brand. He was struggling to get business, and one of his friends suggested exploring digital marketing. He googled digital marketing agencies in Jaipur, and thanks to our Google rankings, we popped up. Now, James doesn't know much about digital marketing. Understanding his business, we prioritized focusing on B2B first, then B2C because it was crucial for his business to establish a fixed amount of monthly business initially. Our strategy worked. We contacted over 200 cafes in 2.5 months, out of which 130 showed interest in giving it a try. What different approach did we take compared to other marketing agencies? We first understood the problem statement and realized that the client was reluctant to spend much as they had never engaged in any marketing activities before. It was essential to generate a continuous flow of revenue/business first, which would have taken longer with a B2C approach. I personally know agencies that would have advised James to focus solely on creating an Instagram account and curating posts, which would not provide a source of recurring revenue. I'm not saying that social media posting isn't beneficial, but agencies that focus on a 'one-size-fits-all' idea without understanding the brand's needs contradict how I define marketing. What are your thoughts on it?
