I remember attending numerous courses and events, but ultimately, you learn sales by doing it. I started my career as a recruiter, where I discovered: 👉 In-depth conversations often reveal what is missing on paper. 👉A simple follow-up after the initial contact can strengthen valuable connections. 👉The power of networking: connections often play a crucial role in finding suitable candidates. After that, I worked for 3 years as a business consultant, learning: 👉Effectively listening to clients and teams is crucial. 👉Problem-solving with passion creates lasting impact. 👉Authentic connections and honesty are the keys to long-lasting customer relationships. Now, I live in Dubai and work as the Head of Sales at Emifast, where I help entrepreneurs worldwide optimize their tax structure and offer residence by investment. Here’s a pic of me in Brussels on my first incentive trip for Vivid Recruit Ltd🙌. It felt strange setting my own incentive, I didn’t start thinking about it until month four when I realised, I needed a break. I initially thought “do I deserve a holiday, should I be taking time off?” I knew what I needed to do…. 💥 I set myself a certain KPI, reserved the dates for my “reward holiday” and when I hit the figure needed, I booked the flights ✈ almost immediately. Yay! I have worked in an incentive/commission culture for years so why didn’t I think of it sooner? 😕 Setting up a business you can forget to take time for yourself, imposter syndrome strikes when you least expect it, and your mind is racing 24/7.
