On this episode we discussed more on the current political climate as it impacts us all as well as our community. The power grabs, the talking points and the agenda of terror that some wish to inflict on the population. We talked about the importance of getting out of our echo chambers and to remember how to have adult conversations with each other.. even and especially with those whom we are not totally aligned with or even opposed to. The alternative is to bow down to horror. The Truth Against The World.

Sustaining the Commons - continuing with the challenges, large-scale collective action problems have new problems arise all the time. Disagreements, conflicts, and so on. Hopeful examples include the Montreal protocol for phasing out CFCs and now HFCs. Relying on past institutions that have worked seems more attractive despite the urgent changes needed. Social problems are typically wicked problems - guns, education, abortion, healthcare and so on. New institutional arrangements require new and small experiments to develop effective institutions. Other than the diverse groups and large scales, not everyone maybe interested in solving the problem - clearly the case for climate change problem. Rules may also be hard to change - EU is a good example. The understanding of the Human-environmental systems have made great advances and yet no blueprints exist to simply apply to all collective action problems. Relating small scale experiments and their findings to larger scales remain a challenge. But the IAD framework and toolbox should provide ways forward on sustainability, healthcare, sports, education and such. New problems arising from rapid environmental and technological changes of course. #sustainability #sustainingthecommons #climmatechange #climateaction #climatesolutions #adaptation #governance #mitigation #decarbonisation https://lnkd.in/dJGtUw2F

Impressive report, Europe is probably the only place where UN has a good impact because they took the UN goals and worked on it and actually made the UN a very bright full thing. Also it's very informative and shows the work and dedication of scientists but what I liked the most about is the creativity of the indigenous people I had to research how is that permeability in soil made water flow and move effectively without absorption and my guess was Wright saturation is one thing that has to do with that but there is more to it: https://lnkd.in/ePyrXppw https://lnkd.in/eYyQDPNF
