🔥 One more reason why I have a strong affection for Telenet? 🔥 Last night, an extraordinary event titled "Discover Data @Telenet" was orchestrated by the talent acquisition workgroup, spearheaded by Gitte Beda, Lander Demesmaeker, William Herbosch, and several others. The event offered a captivating blend of personal speed dating talks, an impressive panel featuring intriguing data profiles within Telenet, and an engaging quiz about Telenet, complete with facts I wasn't aware of. Partly ashamed for that, but kudos as well! ✨ 🙏I appreciate the openness with which we welcome talent from outside our company and organize events with great enthusiasm. I had enriching conversations with many intelligent individuals seeking their first job, considering a career change, or simply interested in how we handle data at Telenet. I was recently talking to a peer about the state of talent acquisition, and the talk went from why aren't these jobs filling to why aren't out of work people paying more attention to an industry than job titles. That's my point today. Stop chasing jobs and start looking at an industry that will support your growth. There was a time when everyone and their dog wanted to be a pharmaceutical rep, which quickly morphed into an "Ah Ha" moment: Healthcare in general is booming! Better get on that train. And everyone went crazy trying to get into healthcare. Now is a good time to look around and find an industry. I recommend telecommunications personally. There is huge demand that is not going away any time soon. Every player needs talent (look at all of the openings in telecom companies right now). Most companies are growing (and some exploding), so your development and ability to gain experience to grow and move up increase drastically. The time is now!
