Today is the first day of school for my children. As any parent knows, this can have a significant impact on our mental health and productivity. It’s a reminder of just how important our teachers are. And yet, how come they are not one of the best-earning professionals we have? It’s symptomatic of a broken society that those who help raise our kids are not among the aspirational careers any decent society would prioritize. These adults not only shape the future of our children but also allow us to produce for our companies and economies. What’s even more concerning is that the consensus about this issue is way bigger than most of the public topics you hear every day in the media. The solutions to this problem are pretty obvious to anyone who knows how our world works too. And yet... Here we are!

True all the way. I’ve thought about this so many times since having a kid. We want to build a bright future for them but the system is broken. Teaching used to be so highly respected at one point..and as you say, here we are!
