GRESB 2023 results are out! Our Real Estate Social Value Index (RESVI) tool has been accepted as the only certification to help portfolios to demonstrate the 'S' in their ESG commitments for the international GRESB Real Estate Assessment.  This will help organisations across the world to measure ESG performance more effectively, in turn allowing investors to manage and improve the sustainability and financial performance of their asset. We are proud to announce that our ISPT Core Fund has received global ESG recognition by GRESB for its sustainability leadership in 2023, with a #1 peer ranking in the Development benchmark for the third year in a row. Our ISPT Core Fund also received Regional Sector Leader status in a further two categories, as well as the highest GRESB rating of 5 Stars alongside our IRAPT and 50 Lonsdale St Property Trusts, outperforming peers and the GRESB averages respectively. The results coincide with the release of our FY23 ESG Report, which includes a 60% reduction in total emissions since 2020 as well as significant progress towards our 2025 ESG Flag on the Hill targets. Sustainable development is a process of change in which the exploitation of resources, the direction of investments, orientation of technology developments and institutional changes are all in harmony to enhance current and future potentials to meet human needs and aspirations. The politicization (US specifically, but not uniquely) of ESG as "Woke Capital" is only one phenoma at play in current markets. Another is the reframing - wrong in our opinion - of #ESG as a compliance function vs a genuine value-creation toolkit.
