My last post threw up a series of common D365 end user dilemmas. 1) How can we attract talent to come and support an already live environment? 2) Do people really want to get involved when the sexy project work has been done? 3) Why would trained and experience staff want to stick around when they can move on to a new project? My answer to this. You've been hoodwinked into thinking this way. By partners who want to ensure lucrative support contracts at massive margins. By crap recruiters who do not have a proper grasp of the market. By HR/internal recruitment teams who never normally recruit for such a role. I can confidently tell you now that this is completely wrong. Here's why..... There are 1,000's of D365 end users globally with established internal teams. There are 1,000's of internal staff working for these companies supporting their D365 ERP or CRM environments. The vast majority have only ever worked internally and are happy doing so. But... When a recruitment need is presented, most end users/recruiters/HR departments do not understand that one of the worst places to look for an internal hire is within the MS Partner network. Had an absolute lightbulb moment this week 💡💡💡 Whats a huge advantage of using a #d365 #contractor over... ✅ Hiring somebody internally? ✅ Using your Partners consultant? Two words: Institutional Knowledge. ERP is complex- and hundred of decisions are made (sometimes) without much documentation. Over a LONG time frame. You can spend 3 years with a partner but yet work with 17 different consultants. An employee can spend 3 years learning your business and ERP- but giving 2 weeks notice, walks out the door with all that knowledge. Leaving questions like: Who configured it like that? Why did we do THAT customization? What's the value of this business process? #contractors that we work with make themselves available to their customers for years and years. Meaning: all that Institutional Knowledge is available on tap. Food for thought... #d365 #contractors #recruitment PS- The network of (TRUSTED) talent in the Bond Patrick | D365 Recruitment Solutions community is getting ridiculous.
