Dr. Farhan Al-Fartousi, General Manager of Iraq Ports, chaired the session under the guidance of His Excellency, Minister of Transport Razzaq Al-Saadawi. The primary discussion centered around the difficulties faced due to the narrowness of the channel at the submerged tunnel point and the single-lane ship passage to Khor Al-Zubair port and the adjacent liquid gas berth. The session convened marine pilots and port captains, highlighting collaborative efforts to optimize the navigational processes and ensure seamless maritime operations. Participants outlined the necessity of a strategic approach to manage the reduced channel width of 200 meters near the submerged tunnel construction site.
