How did we scale the idea of delivering our internal town hall using our Moj Live product? (And we ditched Zoom) Building a culture of product improvement, fostering a sense of belonging, and developing user empathy is key! We wanted ShareChatWasis to experience the Moj Live App firsthand as we delivered the town hall. After all, millions of creators and users use it for live streaming every day, so we took on the challenge of using it internally. Of course, we faced challenges since the product was not specifically designed for corporate presentations and town halls. But our team, with their collective effort and innovative thinking, found an Indian 'Jugaad' solution to place three mobile cameras simultaneously! We tested, tested, and tested the outcomes, trying multiple solutions. Experimentation is part of the #LifeAtShareChat DNA. On the day of the Town Hall, all our employees tuned into the Moj Live app to experience the proceedings. The continuous stream of positive comments, virtual gifts (cheers and mints), and amazing energy made the Town Hall a success, with a satisfaction score 3.9/5. The most significant outcome was the sense of pride in experiencing the app we all worked on building and improving. While we celebrate this success, we also acknowledge that there is always room for improvement. This realization fuels our motivation and excitement for the next challenge, knowing that we can do even better next time. What started as an idea—to host the town hall on our app—scaled into a reality! We're incredibly proud of the team that worked together, including product, engineering, facilities/admin, IT, and the People team. Do watch the video! #ScaleIdeasToReality

𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 🎮❤ 👉🏼 Let's look at the example of games in a learning context: Firstly, it should be emphasised that children's preferences vary according to gender. Boys were more interested in learning formats that took the form of games, especially on the themes of sport, war or space. The boys have also been shown to like the feeling of competition and sensory stimuli that require rapid synchronisation of the eyes and hands, as well as auditory and lighting effects (Lepper & Malone, 1987). The girls, on the other hand, showed that they liked little or nothing of what the boys indicated. They preferred IT programmes to be more like learning tools, helping them to learn through frequent feedback presented in written form (Lepper & Malone, 1987). If preferences are so different, IT programmes should be too, but that's not the case. IT programmes mostly follow male preferences (Cooper & Weaver, 2003). The consequences of this learning design go far beyond the girls' lack of enjoyment; they feel that the technologies were not designed with them in mind, hence their feelings of disinterest or even anxiety when faced with situations where they have to have contact with technologies. "The girls (...) learn that it is outsiders who can witness, rather than be part of, the communication." (Cooper & Weaver, 2003, pp.17-18). Digital games can have a positive impact on children’s well-being if they are designed with care. ⬆️ Findings from brand-new research by the Responsible Innovation in Technology for Children (RITEC) project, which we co-founded alongside UNICEF with funding from The LEGO Foundation. Anna Rafferty, our Senior Vice President of Digital Consumer Engagement, said: “We’re proud to be partnering with like-minded organisations to understand how digital experiences can be designed in a way that puts children’s well-being first. These findings will empower responsible businesses to create a digital future where children are safe, nurtured and equipped to thrive.” Read the full report → https://lnkd.in/dyaBVz37 #Sustainability #DigitalChildSafety #DigitalWellbeing
