The Intersec Expo last week was probably the biggest show till date. Firestop Contractors International Association opened the day 3 of the Fire Conference, and I had the pleasure of moderating a panel discussion on "The Global Language of Passive Fire Protection" following my presentation on the same topic. The discussion focused on the critical aspects of Passive Fire Protection (PFP) with an emphasis on FCIA's #DIIM (Design, Installation, Inspection, and Maintaining Protection) framework. Key Insights that Resonated: 1. Cladding Safety Victoria recently published its report, 'Compliance in Building Design’, following its review and assessment of more than 800 Victorian buildings with combustible cladding products. The Report, which was directed at answering the question about who is responsible for the widespread use of combustible cladding in Victoria, serves to put consultants and building surveyors on notice about their potential exposure in cladding recovery claims.
