Construction in Latin America, as in other emerging markets, is a sum up of multiple pain points: large fragmentation; undigitized suppliers who lack customer management systems and SaaS tools; cumbersome & dispersed procurement processes that are inefficient and expensive for developers; incomplete and outdated information; lack of business intelligence tools, and inaccurate or non-existent industry-specific financial solutions. Where to start to solve these problems? How to integrate all players, their needs, and the solutions? We believe that the first step is to build a huge digital ecosystem, where all players can start interacting with each other. A place they'll want to be in, the place they'll need to be in. Today TechCrunch and Pipeline, o site de negócios do Valor announced Construex’s seed financing round. This is our first step towards our expansion across LatAm. It’s the beginning of celebrated new partnerships. It’s our beginning as a VC-backed startup. Last year Construex was a company bootstrapping in a small market. In our path we found people who were willing to believe in what we are building and take a leap of faith in an Ecuadorian-born startup. Today we want to thank those people, Ravi Belani and the team from Alchemist Accelerator who opened a door of opportunities. Daniel Collins, our advisor, who has believed in Construex from day one, and whose conviction and trust we highly value. Mauricio Tessi Weiss, Vivin Hegde and Juan N., partners of Zacua Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund, who were willing to bet for the first time in a Latin American company. As we build Construex, most days are filled with challenges. However, there are days that are more special than others. Yesterday was one of those days. Yesterday, at #TrimbleDimensionsConference, at the main stage of the Venetian Resort, Construex won the gold medal at the #ConstructionStartupCompetition2023, the highest prize in a competition among 600 startups coming from 39 countries.
