Remote's Marcelo Lebre recently announced that they will no longer be looking for "years of experience" for their hiring needs. This is a great approach but will it be really practical? I saw that Toggl started this approach a while ago, to apply, you had to take a quick test to show that you can actually do the job. An amazing approach, I though at that time. (I still thinks so) But from my experience, they were failing so hard, since I know many people who got 90% or even 100% from that initial test but never get an interview. So that made it clear they were checking the CVs even though they say they didn't. I believe Remote will have a better system as Job van der Voort states in the article he wrote: https://lnkd.in/eVYV_YRy But I am still wondering, how will they solve the screening bias whern the demonstration is not the first step.
