Did you know that more dogs go missing on July 4th than any other day of the year? Let's make this holiday stress-free for our four-legged companions with some paw-some safety tips from our friends at the Denver Dumb Friends League. 🔒 Secure the Scene: Create a cozy, quiet den for your pets to retreat to during the fireworks spectacle. 🎶 Tune in to Calm: Soothing music or white noise can help drown out the booming sounds and keep your pets relaxed. 💫 Microchip Magic: Ensure your pets are properly microchipped and their ID tags are up to date, just in case they make an unexpected escape. 🐕 Leash Love: Keep your pups on a leash during outdoor celebrations to prevent them from getting spooked and bolting. 🚀 Fireworks-Free Zone: If possible, avoid bringing your pets to firework displays, as the loud noises and bright lights can be overwhelming. POV: It's the middle of the summer and the kids have been out of school for what feels like forever. Let's do a little something for the dogs... and the kids can get involved too! First... why throw a summer puppy party? Well for thing, the dog never throws that backchat like your kids do. Celebrate your furry ride or die! But it's also a great excuse to network and reconnect with friends and neighbors. Plus, kids and dogs go right to sleep when they're tired. My best tips for a fun summer outdoor pup party are (all these things can be made kid friendly too!): Do's: • Pupcakes: Think sugar free peanut butter or carrot cake mini cup cakes. • Puppy Ice cream: Fill a cooler with pup ice cream, easy to find at any grocery store in the ice cream section. • Kiddie pool(s) for cooling down: Jut remember, claws will pop an inflatable pool, but a hard plastic shell pool will allow water dogs to lounge and stay cool. Don'ts: • Low tables: Human treats should be on higher tables to avoid wagging tails and curious noses. • Fireworks: Obviously. Is your pet the center of your universe? it would be my privilege to help you find the perfect property for you and your animals. #dogmom #dogdad #puppyparty #summerfun #dogsdaysofsummer
