We just finished fabricating specimens for a project sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration. This project seeks to understand the critical surface features that influence the #mechanical and #fatigue behaviors of additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4V parts. #machinelearning and #simulations are used to better capture the effect of these features. #NDE techniques in capturing surface and subsurface anomalies are also being evaluated.
