Providers, help your patients avoid anti-abortion centers. Even if patients are not looking for an abortion, these centers are not a safe or trusted place to go for reproductive health care. I'm delighted to share that as the SRHR Director with the YCRH - Young Canadians Roundtable on Health. I've been working on something special: planning an upcoming virtual "Abortion is Healthcare" roundtable. Objective(s): Our goal is simple yet vital: to create a space for open dialogue and idea exchange. Together, we aim to develop innovative strategies for promoting inclusivity and equity in abortion care. We're focusing on addressing systemic inequalities and championing reproductive justice. Through envisioning and articulating an ideal future landscape for abortion access and reproductive healthcare, we hope to lay the groundwork for positive change. Our planning also involves identifying key milestones and steps to bring this vision to life, including advocacy, education, and capacity-building efforts. Expected Outcome(s): I believe this roundtable will be a catalyst for meaningful insights and recommendations. By bringing diverse voices together, we're setting the stage for informed advocacy and policy development in sexual and reproductive health. Additionally, I'm excited about the potential for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among participants. This event isn't just about one day; it's about sparking ongoing engagement and collective action. I am looking forward to seeing its impact unfold. Thank you Stacie Smith for believing in my roundtable suggestion and for giving me the chance to advance reproductive rights and healthcare. #ReproductiveJustice #HealthcareEquity #AdvocacyEfforts
Want to take part in this important discussion on healthcare and abortion? This roundtable event is just for you!
