💁🏽♂️💁🏽♀️ Seeking Your Support: I'm gearing up to venture into new terrains with the US Commercial Service Development Mission to the #Philippines and #Indonesia, and I need your help! This past weekend was a whirlwind of facing fears and strategizing for the future. Here's what I've been grappling with: 🌪️ 1) The possibility of rejection from the team. 2) Overcoming stereotypes as a small, minority-owned company. 3) Managing the triggers of jet lag and homesickness during overseas trips. 4) The risk of 💸 investing heavily in the mission without securing any work. Despite these concerns, I've been hard at work: 1) Conducting extensive research on both countries, especially the upcoming capital city, Nusantara. (Fun fact: I used to live in neighboring city, Balikpapan, Borneo!) 2) Building a network of subcontractors and getting NDAs in place to ensure we're ready to take on large projects. 🏭 3) Reaching out to friends, family, and #Rotary Club Presidents in both countries for moral and logistic support. However, there are two areas where I could use your help: ✈️ Any tips on coping with jet lag and homesickness would be greatly appreciated. 💵 I'm exploring the MI-STEP grant.
