👷♀️ My career thus far has had its fair share of challenges, ranging from immigrating to the US to facing blatant sexism on jobsites or even nowadays at conferences. However, I've always chosen to focus on the way I can change the industry and on the incredible women in construction who are right there with me. As the #builtenvironment is transformed by cutting-edge technologies like #generativeai, I believe that there will be even more women on the frontlines helping the industry adapt and evolve. 💪

I am looking forward to this event! According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, women now make up 10.9% of the construction workforce, the highest percentage since 1990.
Women are not only joining the construction industry, but also leading it, holding key positions in project management, engineering, design, architecture, and more. They also mentor and inspire the next generation of female construction workers, creating a positive and supportive culture.
The construction industry needs more workers to meet the growing demand for housing, infrastructure, and other projects. Women can fill this gap and provide the talent and expertise that the industry needs.
Women in construction are challenging stereotypes and creating opportunities for themselves and others. They are the role models we need and the leaders we deserve.
