With Belimo's gas monitors, there is no need for an expensive controller to make them communicate on a network. Then, what is the communications module used for? In cases where a controller is required by project managers, engineers, and contractors, the communication module can be used to display gas levels for networked monitors, alarms, and faults. It does not have to control anything, but it can if need be. The communication module will display all required information but will not control anything. The ventilation is controlled by the last monitor, and alarms are passed to all units.
