Our members believe so strongly in what March Women - Women in M&A is building, they have voluntarily funded membership fees to enable other women to join. This generosity inspired the formal launch of our Catalyst Fund earlier this year. Together with those member contributions, 10% of every corporate membership fee goes towards funding full annual memberships. We recently ran the first application process for a Catalyst membership and would like to thank all of the applicants for their time and effort in making their submissions, and their insightful comments - the following is a selection from a number of our applicants: ✭ "I experienced first-hand ...how diverse and encouraging the women are from March Women." ✭"Due to my background, I do not have a personal network of solicitors/other experts/potential clients. In light of this, I can sometimes feel out of place at networking events which impacts my confidence and how I come across to others." ✭ "The group’s emphasis on collaborating and supporting each other, fits perfectly with my ambitions of my career." ✭"...whilst I’m ambitious and hard working, I have been described as too modest and I often don’t feel comfortable advocating for myself. Being a member of a community such as March Women appears to be a great opportunity to overcome that." ✭ "I noticed that everyone genuinely wanted to lift each other up." ✭"I have attended a March Women event and due to the focused/ smaller group of individuals I found it much easier to talk to people and to feel part of a group." ✭ "I had a great time when I joined the March Women's event and in addition to obtaining valuable advice for my professional career, I also had a great laugh with everyone!" It was a difficult task deciding who to award the first Catalyst membership to... so we awarded two! So it's a warm welcome to our newest members Charlotte Lang and Lowri Roberts - we very much look forward to you being part of the March Women community. _______________________ The Catalyst Membership opens twice a year, with applications for the next cohort launching in December 2024 for membership commencing 1st February 2025. This cohort was specifically for junior M&A lawyers (at the request of the sponsor) but the next one will a reflection of our broader M&A community.

If you have been seeing my posts recently, you may have noticed that I have been on a new adventure of starting up and building a nonprofit organization geared towards supporting #womeninconstruction and #womenintrades. For those that know me through work or personally, I'm not one to call for attention or really put myself or my story out there - but in efforts to reach other women in this I've got to learn to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. I am ecstatic to see all of the support in sales in my recently self-published book for this nonprofit #buildherbeheard. Knowing what it is like to find my way in the AEC industry without any knowledge of expectations when I was around the age of 19 and seeing some of history being repeated with young women entering the industry, I am hopeful that this book can help similar women align their own personal thoughts and establish their own boundaries when it comes to self-advocacy in what their own goals and limits are. I have had a very rewarding career in the industry and truly want the same for other women who may begin to find themselves isolated, unheard, or unsupported so that they can recognize the amount of support we actually have by hearing the stories from those around us. The book being designed in a way that provides the reader with self-reflection input and highlights various topics we all seem to still be facing but will all manage differently. Does it mean that I have very woman's point of view covered - absolutely not, but it does mean that I am eager to see various women in the industry from multiple levels, disciplines, backgrounds thrive and succeed in our industry. I am also calling on our male allies and advocates to also to be open and willing to hear the varied perceptions that women on your team may be experiencing. I know that the industry can grow to further strengthen one another and sponsor, support and advocate for the women on our team. So, take a look, reach out, and let's discuss partnering opportunities by completing the partnering page on my website!

Three outstanding awards for women in business are open now. What's that good old pearler? You've got to be in it to win it. Australian Women's Small Business Champion Awards - https://lnkd.in/g2jJtECE Stevie Awards For Women In Business - https://lnkd.in/gHjrWKZ AusMuumpreneur Awards - https://lnkd.in/gSwDykVs With over a month before closing dates, don't dilly dally and get cracking now. These are fabulous awards you can enter to show your successes over the past year, the challenges you have faced, and the hard work you have put in to grow your business. You can do them all. When you've written one entry, it's easy to repurpose it into other award programs. If you're going to gather all that information and create an entry and support doc, you may as well leverage your hard work. When you enter multiple award programs, it snowballs quickly, and you start surrounding your audience who sees and notices you EVERYWHERE! We call it dropping breadcrumbs. We've learned that 80% of award winners do nothing to promote their award journey. When you enter multiple awards, your chances of success improve, but you more than triple the amount of leverage you can create. Our audacious team has developed 3-peat and 5-peat packages to enter, win and leverage awards. This is for game-changers, thought-leaders, business owners, entrepreneurs, and those who believe they are the world's best kept secret and want to make a bigger impact. Check it out and give us a call to chat about how we can help you become Googlicious. https://lnkd.in/gf2AKMWQ
