Read our article to hear more on the concerning trend that our industry benchmarking has exposed: Whilst overall proportions of customers with energy debt is reducing, we're seeing levels of unsecured debt (without supporting payment plans) more than doubling in size to average over £1,000 by the end of last year. It's really concerning to see energy debt intensity increasing at an already difficult time of high mortgages rates, tax bills due and a high cost of living. We've shared some ideas on what customers, energy suppliers and Government can do to better support. Do get in touch with myself, James Cooper or Alasdair Dorrat to discuss further.
Britain’s poorest people now owe twice as much to energy suppliers as they did during the 2022 energy crisis, according to figures Baringa have crunched thanks to a collaboration with nine of our retail energy clients. In this article Alasdair Dorrat argues the situation can be averted only by joint action from society, energy firms and the government. https://ow.ly/egEj50QrpBw
