The nephew of one of our recruiters is from Generation Z. Check out this interesting story. Jose (one of our recruiters) has a 24-year-old nephew who is looking for a cooking job in Mallorca. Of course, he wants to spend the summer there with the sun, the beach, the sea... You know, the good life. ✅ He says he's seen many interesting job offers but the working hours don't suit him, and he has to work every day of the weekend. Also, he's noticed that most restaurants are a bit outdated and could modernize and offer more sustainable and technological experiences. That's a proper generation Z guy 😀 For him, it's important that the company is flexible and that besides working hard, he can have quality of life, flexibility, and teamwork. After all, feeling motivated at work is important, and we've told him that at Cooking Europe, we work with many companies that do adapt to flexible work and new ways of teamwork. Well, to summarize, we've sent him a list of the hotels and restaurants that work with us and meet what we believe is important. We will let you know if in the end he was hired. 🌟 Motivation as the core 💼 Flexibility and work-life balance 🚀 New ways of working 🤝 Collaboration and teamwork 🌿 Healthy lifestyles 🔮 Future perspectives Future perspective is a crucial aspect for Generation Z. And for who isn't it? #MotivatedWorkforce #FutureOfWork #InnovationAtWork #TalentRetention

Here are 6 points to consider when reflecting on your career path between Christmas & New Year.... 1. Job satisfaction - How much do you enjoy your day-to-day work responsibilities and duties? Are you intellectually stimulated and engaged? Do you look forward to going to work most days? Assessing your job satisfaction can help determine if you're in the right career. 2. Work-life balance - Does your career allow you to achieve a healthy balance between your professional and personal life? Or does work dominate most of your time and energy? Pay attention to signs of work-life imbalance like feeling drained or having little time for non-work activities. 3. Growth opportunities - Does your current career path offer opportunities for advancement and developing new skills over time? Or do you feel stuck in the same role with limited potential for growth? Examine if there's room for progression. 4. Compensation and benefits - Are you earning a salary and benefits package commensurate with your experience, capabilities, and contribution? Benchmark against industry/occupation averages to assess if you're being properly compensated. 5. Alignment with values/interests - Does your day-to-day work align with your broader values, passions, and interests? We spend a lot of time working, so a career that reflects what's important to you can be more fulfilling. 6. Work environment - Do you work with nice, supportive colleagues in a positive and professionally-stimulating work culture? The people and atmosphere can hugely impact your job happiness and success. Mid-Summer Reflection ☀️ As we are in the middle of the summer, and finally getting a bit of sun here in Amsterdam 🎉, I wanted to share some thoughts about IT recruitment during summer time. Processes are slowing down; clients are taking more time with feedback due to holidays, and candidates are often out on vacation. But honestly, I kind of love it! I found that this give me a chance to connect on a more personal level. With everyone a bit more relaxed, conversations shift from the usual rush to chatting about family plans and dream holiday spots. It's a great reminder that recruitment is all about building real relationships. How are you finding this summer slowdown? Are you enjoying the more relaxed pace, or do you miss the hustle? Share your thoughts and summer plans below! Enjoy the sunshine, and let's make the most of these relaxed summer connections! #ITRecruiting #SummerVibes #WorkLifeBalance #RecruiterLife

Passionate Diversity & Inclusion Advocate | 15+ Years in Client Relations & Recruitment | Championing Inclusive Hiring & Exceptional Customer Experience Open to new career opportunities!!
Exciting news! As we reach week 15 of our move to Scotland, my amazing husband, after more than 15 years of being self-employed, applied for a job, went for an interview, and on Friday, landed an incredible position! He even gave me the green light to pursue my dream job as a full-time stay-at-home dog mum! 🐾 As tempting as that sounds, stepping away from the workforce feels a bit daunting. So, I started thinking: what if I created an “essential list” for my next role? One that truly aligns with my values and working style. Here’s what I came up with: ⭐️Remote work ⭐️Neurodiverse-friendly environment ⭐️Part-time with flexibility ⭐️Purpose-driven ❤️A kind and collaborative team culture ⭐️People-first, whether it’s customers, service users, or colleagues ⭐️Authentic commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion ⭐️Salary flexible—it’s about finding the right role and the company! Is this too much to ask? If so, maybe a few more dogs are in my future! I’d love to hear if any of this resonates with others in their job search or workplace. Picture of Mr Darcy who is happy either way as long as I am home to provide treats. #JobSearch #RemoteWork #ED&I #Neurodiversity #PurposeDriven #WorkCulture #PartTimeJobs #CareerAlignment

Do you remember your first week at a new job? How nerve-wracking it was to step into a completely new environment, meet completely new people, and work in a completely new way? I remember mine. I remember my boss introducing me at a large meeting and saying it was my second day, and the collective "Awww" and empathetic smiles that went through my new colleagues like a Mexican wave at a football game. We were all new once, and no matter the role, seniority or industry, there's no denying that the first week at a job is a difficult time. Here are some great practices I've learnt at my current job, that you can use to help a new hire fit in: 1. The lunch buddy One thing that stood out here was my team always looking for a lunch buddy for me when I was new. Even if they could not have lunch with me, they would find someone who could. This was great as I was always meeting new people and establishing new networks, a must in any new environment. 2. A little help here? If you're going for some activity and you see the new hire sitting alone, go sit with them or invite them to join you, even if they're not part of your team. If you see them struggling with something, take the time to explain how it works. I remember people from other departments seeing me struggling with the coffee machine and helping me out, and it gave me a huge confidence boost knowing that people were looking out for me. 3. Have you met... These magical three words make organizations smaller. Whenever I'm speaking to a new hire and someone I know is nearby, I always ask them if they have met this person. If not, I introduce them. Sometimes, I add additional context to help them connect, for example I may say "He works with dashboards as well" and that little bit of an ice breaker often establishes a great connection. ============================= What have you done in your workplace or seen someone doing that make it more welcoming for new hires? Comment down below! #diversity #inclusion #newhires

𝕄𝕖𝕕𝕚𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕠𝕟 𝕞𝕪 𝕎𝕖𝕖𝕜! 🎗 🎗 🎗 This week has been dynamic and thrilling, navigating through a 20-day Linkedin optimization course #20daylinkedinchallengewithhaoma aimed at enhancing my professional visibility. I am so thankful for joining this course as I'm loving the quality of amazing people I have been interacting with and the level of knowledge that has been passed across so far. Simultaneously, I was engaged in the recruitment process for the position of Regional sales Manager for East region at Ralphones Pharmaceuticals Company Ltd. Sadly, we had to dismiss a first-line manager on the ground of gross misconduct. The week also demanded a diverse skill set as I had to handle a lot of tasks from preparing payroll to planning the administrative activities of our strategy meeting at WILAN Global Organization where we charted out an action plan for 2024. Each experience has contributed to my growth, both in personal branding and strategic decision-making. I am finally ending this week at Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel to unwind, relax, and get ready for another week. Just like the popular saying; we move! Should you take the in-house job? At MAM Gruppe, when speaking to data & AI professionals across Germany about moving from consulting to in-house, there’s usually a point in the process where we talk about some of the pros and cons of each. If you or someone you know is thinking about making the switch this list might help. Pros for going in-house: 1. Improved work life balance. 2. Longer term view as opposed to going from project to project every few months. 3. Potentially higher impact potential. 4. Stability. There is usually a clearer picture of what the next 6-12 months will look like. Cons for going in-house: 1. Potentially less variety on projects as compared to consulting. (This doesn’t have to be the case, it really depends on the role). 2. Career progression can be slower. (On the reverse, if your goal is to be a leader in the future, companies will always prioritize people who are already there for internal promotion. Therefore, a good strategy can be to join a company as a team member and grow into a leadership role as opportunities arise. You will usually be first in line before the external applicants). If you’re interested to discuss moving from consultancy towards in-house drop me a note or mail at matthew.miles@mamgruppe.com and let’s talk!
