Manchester recruiters - I've just come out of a class meeting with one of our longest-standing clients! They are one of the North's leading public-sector recruiters for roles across corporate functions; Accountancy, Finance, IT, HR & Supply Chain etc. I find private sector recruiters sometimes look down on the public sector but this is incredibly naïve. This agency and many other public sector recruiters are bulletproof when it comes to market downturns. For example, these guys were working (and booming) throughout 2020! What's on offer? -Very competitive basics and solid commission of up to 25%. -Huge growth plans, they've just moved into a 100-person office. Currently, they're at 35 heads and will build teams around strong billers! -Recession-proof markets. This can't be overlooked in today's world! -One of the best office spaces in Manchester in my opinion. I know a lot of the above is really samey as these posts often are... The real differentiator for these guys is they're a very financially strong business (loads of cash in the bank) in stupidly robust and recession-proof markets where you can progress into a Divisional Director pretty quickly. Most importantly you can have fun whilst doing so with a sound bunch of guys and girls! You'll need 18 months of experience in a professional services market. Right now it feels like every recruitment agency in Perth is looking for staff - if I were so inclined to jump back on the tools I’d have my choice of desk, industry and company to work for! There are opportunities all over town: 👨💼👩💼White-collar 👷👷♀️Blue-collar ⏩⏩Temp ⏩⏩Perm 🦺🦺Mining, Construction, Trades 🔩🔩Engineering 🧯🧯Health & Safety 👨⚕️👩⚕️Healthcare & Medical …the list is endless! But with so many agencies hiring and so few experienced recruiters looking to move, what is the solution? 💰💰Pay more and offer more attractive comm schemes? 🗓️🗓️Offer greater flexibility including WFH, 9 day fortnights or 4 day work weeks? 🌍🌍Consider sponsorship for experienced overseas recruiters? 🌱🌱Invest in new blood and look to grow your own? Whilst I do try to remember where everyone I speak to is based it's hard to keep on top of. Location is often overlooked on a CV, but here's why you should include it: 📍We're often working on multiple roles in multiple locations across the UK. Adding your location increases your chance of being noticed when we're hiring in your region. 📍Adding a broad location like London or Manchester means we'll only ever send you roles in the city centre, because we don't know where you're based. The appetite to hire good 360 billers in the London recruitment market remains very buoyant. I am eager to set calls up with recruiters billing £200k plus in any specialist market who; *Work for a firm who does not pay a third of what they bill. *Work for a firm that has a toxic culture. *Work for a firm where they do not have full transparency around their progression. *Work for a firm that does not value them. There are many great firms in the sector, many of which I am proud to call our clients. The rest are agencies where their staff could do the same job, but just in much nicer conditions where they are fairly rewarded. I honestly find it amazing how many good people stay put in average firms. I often ask those who eventually become wise to their set up, "why did you stay so long"? The answer is always the same...
