I'm a Telecommunications Engineer with a Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Fabrication with over 10 years experience in telecommunications i.e Voice over Internet Protocols(VoIP) and Call Center design and support.
Am Certified Network Security Expert as per this doc. Am going to show you how to protect your Android phone from hackers.Tap on Chrome and then 3 dotted line on top right corner.Go to settings then scroll down till you see Privacy and security then tap on it.Tap on Use secure DNS and select Choose another provider then select Cloudflare. The reason for securing is your ISP, and anyone else listening in on the Internet, can see every site you visit and every app you use — even if their content is encrypted. Creepily, some DNS providers sell data about your Internet activity or use it to target you with ads. This secure connection is good if you are using M-pesa app,Bank apps even if you use public WiFi.

If you or your team are using free VPN apps (𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸) on your Android devices, listen up - there's some scary stuff going on you need to know about. More than 15 free VPN apps on Google Play have been caught using software that turns your device into a proxy server. What does that mean? Basically, it routes internet traffic through your device to make it look legit, but in reality, it could be used for all sorts of shady stuff like cyber crime and shopping bots. Some of these apps use unethical tactics to sneak onto your device without you even knowing. And once they're in, they hijack your internet bandwidth and put you at risk of legal trouble. What can you do to stay safe? First, check if you've got any free VPN apps on your device. If you do, update to the newest version ASAP - or just get rid of them altogether. Better safe than sorry. And if an app has been removed from Google Play, definitely uninstall it - that's a red flag right there. When it comes to VPNs, LCS’ advice would always be if you want real peace of mind, it’s worth investing in a paid VPN instead. Yes, it'll cost you a bit, but can you really put a price on your online security? No! Your business’s data and reputation is worth more than a bit of cash. Give us a ring on 01522 718192 to find out how the LCS Team can improve your security. #Android #FreeVPN #CyberSecurity https://lnkd.in/gbX55crx

🌐 **VPN on an iPhone: Here’s Why You Need One in 2024** While Apple devices are often praised for their security features, they aren't bulletproof—especially online. To protect yourself from the dangers of the internet, you need extra protection. This is where a VPN (Virtual Private Network) comes in, shielding your data from hackers, snoopers, and other threats when you're surfing on your iPhone. 🔍 **What is a VPN on an iPhone?** A VPN on an iPhone masks your IP address and online activity by encrypting the connection between your iPhone and the internet. Think of it like the childhood game of two cans and a string—just as the string lets two children have a private conversation, a VPN lets your device have a private connection over the open internet thanks to encryption. 📋 **VPN on iPhone Essentials:** With a VPN on your iPhone, you can: - Stay secure on public Wi-Fi - Overcome network restrictions - Avoid content censorship - Stream without throttling - Get better deals When choosing a VPN provider, consider: - Encryption and protocols available - Number of servers and locations - Adherence to a no-logs policy - Avoiding free VPNs or proxies ⚡ **The Quickest Way to Get VPN Protection on an iPhone** Download the Surfshark app, log in, and connect to a server. 🔄 **Should a VPN on an iPhone Be On or Off?** Keep your VPN on when you’re online, but you might turn it off if you have a limited data plan. 🔧 **VPN on an iPhone: Two Meanings** A VPN on an iPhone can refer to a VPN app or the native VPN capability available on all iPhones. Most people find using a VPN app is the easiest option, while manual setup is better suited for tech-savvy individuals with their own VPN server. 🌍 **Why You Should Use a VPN on Your iPhone** Using a VPN on your iPhone encrypts your connection and hides your IP, helping you overcome censorship, IP-based tracking, and ISP throttling. VPNs also allow you to access your favorite content from home while traveling and protect your iPhone from malicious attacks. 📱 **Stay Safe on Public Wi-Fi** Protect your banking app info and other sensitive data on public Wi-Fi. VPNs encrypt your traffic and hide your IP address, making it hard for hackers to intercept your data. 🔓 **Overcome Network Restrictions at Work and School** Bypass blocks on certain websites or online content at work or school by connecting to a VPN server in a location of your choice. #VPN #iPhone #CyberSecurity #OnlinePrivacy #Tech #RemoteWork #Surfshark 🔗 Read more about our VPN's https://lnkd.in/drCB2tve
