The CoRE Learning Model transformed Denzyl Moncrieff's career path, leading him to become the first Aboriginal male to earn a BSc in Applied Geology from Curtin University and embark on a successful career with IGO Ltd. "As an Aboriginal person, the CoRE Learning Model was really easy for me to grasp and excel at. It was practical and hands-on. There were field trips with time on Country. It was more about the final product and the lessons you learned along the way, rather than having the same old, boring style of teaching where there was only one way to achieve the final product." - Denzyl Moncrieff Through hands-on learning, field trips as part of our CoRE Learning Model and our Gamifying Earth Science (GES) initiative, CoRE is preparing the next generation of STEM leaders. Denzyl's story shows how powerful immersive education and industry engagement can be.
