National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Financial Social Work Counselor, Mental Health First Aid Certified
I have coached people from the ages of 18 to 89 and one of the different values when it comes to work is a big difference that stands out. One thing I appreciated about this episode was the invitation to be curious and even appreciate these differences, as opposed to just being annoyed. As a millennial manager, my direct reports have spanned from Gen Z to Boomers. One recent change that I have seen during 1:1s has been more people letting go of the corporate expectation of climbing ladders. The more curiosity we can have with those we work with, the more opportunity there can be for people to learn to shift in ways that align with what their capacity is, and how freeing it can be to shed the "shoulds" in our lives.

The concept of the gap and the gain has been something I have referenced in goal setting conversations. It is an easy concept to grasp to help focus on growth and progress in the face of challenges or setbacks. It's worth the investment of time to listen to this mini podcast series or pickup the book. #personaldevelopment

Host of Promote Yourself to CEO Podcast | Business Consultant For Women Entrepreneurs | Forbes Coaching Council Member | NAWBO RVA Board Member
You know what we rarely talk about? What happens to the money that comes IN to your business, and WHERE exactly it goes. Every business owner knows that the money your business makes is VERY different from the amount that you actually take home. But for whatever reason, we tend to get fixated on that revenue goal, and put less importance on your take-home income. That's why I'm breaking it all down. In today's episode of Promote Yourself to CEO, I'm going to be talking some numbers, and telling you exactly what it means to have a six-figure take home income, not just a six-figure business. Listen anywhere you get your podcasts!
