If you see a post stating, for more details and to have an in-depth conversation about a role, please contact us - there is a good reason for this. It is important to look beyond the job description, because it also has to be about YOU. What does your ideal role look like? What size of business is important to you? Is location a major consideration? Does the Company meet with your own aspirations? The job description does not discuss these areas and they are important for you and equally the hiring business. So we look into these issues and discuss Company working culture & environment, possible career aspirations, locations etc. We understand that discussions during working hours are difficult, but you would be surprised just how many of us are happy to talk outside of these hours. As a Recruitment Partner one of the ways I support my clients is by helping them identify what skill set they need to hire for 💡 When someone resigns from your organization the usual process is to reach for the last job description and post your advertisement. I see this as an opportunity to take stock of what you need. Why is this person leaving? Ask them to write down all of the things they actually do – compare it to the JD ✅ Speak to other team members to find out how they interact with this role ✅ How does your management team rely on this function of the business to enable them to perform well ✅ Look at your business, how has it evolved since you last hired ✅ How do your customers use this area of your business - have things changed within your target market since you last brought someone on board? ✅ Taking time to re-align your business needs with the skills and experience you are wanting to attract is what I feel is essential to the success of any recruitment campaign 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Bringing someone new into the fold has positive or negative affects on your organization, so maybe next time you need to hire - think about other peoples viewpoints before you post your advert 💡🙂 Sharai Parris Sakina Darrell Michelle St Jane 🌻🌎 Michelle White Felicia Rickards Laura Husband Marcia Malpas Shivam Patel, FIA

❄️ The Iceberg concept to hiring the best talent ❄️ On average, 5% of the market is 'active'. These candidates have an up-to-date CV and are actively applying to jobs (you don't need an agency to help you capture this pool). 70% of the market is 'passive'. For the right opportunity they will consider making a move, but generally speaking do not have an up-to-date CV and are rarely drawn towards job adverts. Even if you grab their attention with an advert, the likelihood of them going home after work, updating their CV and applying is slim. A good Recruitment Consultant will have strong relationships within this passive pool. They will know what it requires to 'turn someone's head' within their network. When an opportunity arises, they immediately know who to call and how to present the opportunity in a way that resonates with them, therefore providing their clients with more choice. If you want to increase the number of candidates you have to pick from for an upcoming hire, it could be worth considering using a reputable Recruitment Agency to tap into this passive candidate pool.
