Cornerstone Timberframes’ Post

This frigid day has us dreaming of this charming cottage located on a unique lakefront lot within Riding Mountain National Park. The area's exceptional beauty is protected by specific regulations that limit construction to the renovation of existing cottages. Redevelopment of the cottage can include complete rebuilds, but it must remain entirely within the existing building footprint and comply with restrictions on height and hard surfaces. Additionally, exterior materials are restricted to those historically used in early park buildings. Fortunately, the use of timber details is encouraged!
