Celebrating 5 Remarkable Years at #Corning India!
As I hit the half-decade mark at Corning India, otherwise known as “baby years” at Corning Incorporated, I wanted to reflect on this incredible journey – a journey that's been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, yet filled with exponential learning, achievements, and, most importantly, resilience.
Rewind to five years ago, I stepped into a role that was about to test every skill in my arsenal. Little did I know, the universe had a "special" challenge in store – the COVID pandemic. The subsequent 2.5 years were like navigating through dog years – each month packed with a decade's worth of learning and challenges.
Balancing short-term urgencies with our long-term visions felt like juggling flaming torches while blindfolded. Yet, it was the unparalleled spirit of our team that turned these daunting tasks into milestones. With resilience as our backbone and a growth mindset as our compass, we didn't just weather the storm; we sailed through it with flags flying high, achieving commendable success for our business.
I often say, "A team that can find humor in adversity is invincible". I'm proud to say my team is just that – a bunch of superheroes with a knack for laughter!
As I look back with pride, I'm filled with gratitude for every lesson, every challenge, and every win. But let's not dwell too much on the past because, in the world of Corning, the best is always yet to come. Here's to chasing horizons, laughing through challenges, and achieving even greater milestones together.
I also want to remember this day when I received my first five-year service pin from our longest-serving Corning India colleague, Gopal Malhotra, who has been with us for 30 years!
To my team, thank you for being the rock stars that you are. To Corning India, thank you for being the arena that lets us shine. And to the future, I say – bring it on!
