What fun. Last night was a customer graduation, and a great excuse to dress up in a tux. Yes, yes, I was wearing shorts because it was a virtual event but making the effort to dress up was important. Celebrating the commitment of the 30 Sales Management graduates was incredibly important or as one senior leader shared, it was "significant". The journey of almost 12-months on the program was celebrated with graduates sharing their stories, our facilitators making special mentions for stand-out participation, and their leaders discussing how this will make a huge difference to their stakeholders (shareholders and customers). My favourite quote for the evening: "we are building the right Sales Management muscle memory". My favourite moment: Celebrating the 12 ladies on the Cohort who formed part of the most inclusive, representative group of managers in a traditionally male-dominated industry. A great reminder of how important it is to pause to celebrate. And to arrive dressed up for the part.

If I had to sum it up, my ultimate goal across all my work comes down to three things: 1) Amplifying the growth minded culture here to show candidates that Acosta Group is a place where people build long, fulfilling careers. 2) Helping recruiters streamline their processes, centralize information, and make their jobs easier. 3) Educating TA on innovative ways to attract talent to the company. Heading to Dallas to attend my second official SKO at Restaurant365. It’s crazy to think how the time has passed. Some days I feel like I just started. Some days I feel like I’ve been working here my whole career. Last year, I attended as an AE with no idea what the road ahead would look like. The journey has been tumultuous, challenging, and fun as hell. I was promoted to Senior Account Executive, then just a month later, I was given the opportunity to lead the team I had worked alongside since I started. Now, I’m heading into SKO with an amazing group of people I was lucky enough to hand-pick to work with me. Watching them grow, I already know they’ll surpass anything I ever did at this company. I can’t wait to see what they all accomplish. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life comes at you fast. But if you stay nimble, open-minded, and willing to explore opportunities you may never even have considered, life can be so much better than you ever imagined—and happen quicker than you thought possible.
