The Unlimited Group's 2023 Sustainability Report is available and ready to read. In the report we focus on our sustainability pillars and dive into the data and stories for each. Our six sustainability pillars are: 🌍 Carbon footprint 🍽 Food waste 📦 Sustainable packaging 🌱 Soil health 🐝 Biodiversity ⚖ Equality This report showcases our continuous efforts and commitment to sustainable practices. It highlights our achievements, challenges, and future goals, demonstrating our dedication to creating a more sustainable future for all. As one of the primary expectations in my role, it was daunting taking on the task of publishing the Sustainability Report so soon after joining the company. I have to thank my team and all the Sustainability Champions for all their hard work and unwavering commitment to capturing the data and writing the stories for the report. I'm excited for what's to come. As a team, we decided to refresh the colour palette and design of the report. Together with To the Core Studios we were able to create a report which we're very proud of. I'd like to thank them for their tireless effort in getting the report ready for publication. Access the report here: https://lnkd.in/dpDWpmw8 I hope you enjoy reading the report and feel inspired to continue our progress on sustainability. Implementing carbon and biodiversity credits with plant-level verification and certification marks a significant advancement in enhancing trust in sustainability reporting, as required under frameworks like CSRD/ESRS. By making the creation and lifecycle of credits fully auditable and traceable from seed to retirement, we ensure unparalleled transparency and accountability in environmental impact measures. This approach addresses a crucial gap in sustainability efforts, offering a clear, verifiable path of each credit's contribution to conservation and emission reduction. It not only boosts confidence among stakeholders but also sets a new standard for reliability and integrity in sustainability reporting worldwide. This step is essential in building a robust, trust-based system that can genuinely support global sustainability goals.

Great insights from 3M Sustainability Director, Brendan Edgerton key takeaways from his panel on #nature Discussion at #GreenBiz24: including businesses acting on nature (water, emissions, etc.), but not framing it as "nature," Nature conversation evolving: need for standardized definitions & metrics, and communicating specifically & tangibly within companies to gain buy-in, and finally Bridging the gap: linking current efforts (#water, #GHG, #circularity) to #biodiversity improvements. #3Mer
