And that was Cosmoprof Asia 2023 for me!
Glad to be back in Hongkong, though it felt different compared 2019 and 2022 Singapore.
Some clear topics:
South Korea is very, very present. Seems the shift to Japan stopped or reduced.
Ingredients wise a large focus on human stem cells, originating and substracted from blood cells , fatty tissues and bone marrow. It seems all over the world, except EU, this is now available and used. Also vegan collagens are very much in trend, originated from vegetables and fruits (less fish or animals).
Less is more is a trend also visible here, though mainly from EU brands, as the Asian routine is still focused on specialization and personalization. Brands offering only a serum, eye cream and cream, of course focusing on problem areas.
Clear also again is that now is the time to make that difference and show where the brand or its products stand for and make a difference. There is no time to waste and brands should largely focus on its reason of existence and how to share their values with their customers and consumers……..
