The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially in the works! With that being said I am sharing my favorite hack from the movie for tradeshows and conferences. We all remember the scene when Andy gets told she is attending the event and has to remember all the names of the people who will be there. Now two binders full of names the night before the event is a nightmare for all of us, it teaches us the benefit of prepping. I am TERRIBLE at remembering names but I am really good at memorizing faces. So anytime I have a conference or an event to attend I like to create my own Devil Wears Prada book for the event. This includes; screenshots of their LinkedIn profile, stats about their company, and any interesting facts I know. I do this for the top people to "keep an eye out for". It allows me to prep for the event and put a face to the name! As we head into big conferences for the fall try it out and let me know your thoughts!

Another February... another MICAM edition. Definitely, the Italians do well in marketing and making things bright and high-end. If you can ignore that the fair doesn't have what years ago we knew as "visitors" and the fact that the corridors are twice bigger than the past, you will discover a very well designed fair, a full-filled agenda of talks, TV areas, new designers (bigger) spaces... But, at the end, we can see how the lack of "visitors" probably responds to the reality in the streets: it is becoming harder and harder finding multi-brand independent retailers (name any city in the world). Good news is, the ones who actually come, they are good, professional and resilient. More good news? The hot trend of sneakers had become to an end (FINALLY!!!) and we are seeing lots of "normal" shoes (ankle boots, boots, ballerinas,...) My eternal suggestion? PLEASE, make everybody's' life easier in the fair and reduce the number of HALLS. Will be cosier, more animated and, at least, people will be able to go from one stand to other without walking km just for the fun of having a higher number of pavilions.

Few weeks back, I got the opportunity to help my relative with their pop-up exhibition store featuring traditional handcrafted jewelry and traditional clothing. During the exhibition I realised "Out of sight, out of mind" is in-fact a true statement!👀 So we decided to wear our own products during the whole exhibition, which in turn helped us in: 🌟Creating curiosity among the people passing by our store. 🌟Increasing our brand visibility. 🌟Starting meaningful conversations with people who we thought might be interested in our product. 🌟Showcasing the quality and features of our products. 🌟Creating an experience that became memorable for both us and the audience. ⁉️What I Learned from my experience: 1. Portray your brand in such a way that it speaks for itself. 2. Don’t shy away from wearing your own brands. 3. Engage and interact with potential customers, don't just sell your product, leave a mark as a brand. 4. Tell the story and history behind your product and make your product the hero.

There’s nothing worse than feeling like you work at Dillards in the perfume section when you’re at a tradeshow.. “HEY WOULD YOU LIKE A SAMPLE” Pre-show outreach should be fundamental in your event strategy. Things your prospects should know before they show up - That you are actually at the event. - Who’s at the booth. THEIR NAMES - Your booth number (make it easy for them to find you) - Your “event special” Little quick story - 📱 Zach Barney and I were at a show in Vegas. I was letting my prospects know he was there. You wouldn’t even believe what that did for conversation. Zach’s a local celebrity (we had a line at the booth before we got there for autographs 😉) This is all possible with Mobly. Upload your show list into Mobly a couple weeks before you attend for enrichment. NOW, you have 25 fields of contact data to reach out to through email, calling, texting, LinkedIn DMs - which you can do in Mobly and have all that activity tracked and synced into your CRM without any manual work.
