CEO at ShowroomMarketing.com & EarnMoreDoLess.com... I've Been Turning Online Insights Into Income, Controlling More Market Share, And Running The Business Intelligence Back-End For Companies Of All Sizes Since 1999 🚀🎯
I received a call a few weeks ago from a Kitchen and Bath Showroom (all decorative plumbing fixtures and lighting) who we used to "indirectly" work with from April 2023 - June 2024. I open this post like this because their partnership with the cabinet, countertop, and design + build outfit they were splitting their Google Ad spend with recently ended. The person calling said, "I know it was a rather fruitful relationship, but I/WE DO NOT HAVE any of the specific data on the inquiries OR sales that came from the initiative we were working with them on!" #YIKES So... I went to work in our Internet Business Development lab and dug up what I could to shine light on what they were getting for results that would be useful for us moving forward + proposed how we could keep going with them independently, and ultimately, get ever better results in the future. Here are the numbers: 🎯 They had 2,959 clicks for keywords that were relevant for them 🎯 They had 508 *inquiries that came from those clicks from Google Ads *Inquiries for their business are phone calls, contact form fill-outs, people that clicked on their Google Map listing to find directions to their showroom (who DID NOT KNOW of their business prior to searching), and live chat submissions from a chat bot. 🎱 If I rub the "magic 8 ball" for the future, they will a) no longer be "backseat driving" with all of this, b) will be getting followed-up with directly, in real time, by our team to make sure they're not dropping the ball and saying they don't understand the internet channel #StopTheMadness, and c) we'll have an integration in place with their website and CRM, ERP (where they do quoting from), and Quick Books (where they process payments and do accounting from) so we are able to measure and track every marketing and sales metric that matters most for assuring the 80/20 rule is being maximized in every way 🚀 Long story short, they were getting 1 inquiry for every 6 clicks 😍, but had NO CLUE what was going on. #NoBueno FYI, we typically average 1 inquiry (or sale for those with eCommerce enabled on their website) for every 9-10 clicks, so we weren't just "finding Nemo" for them (according to the pic in this post), we turned them into the 'big fish' in their market's online ocean! Let's gooooooo.... P.S. - Being irresponsible and saying "blanketing the 1st page of Google and winning with Social Media" isn't a priority at your company because "you're good where you're at" is silly at this point. However, if you are saying that, you must be a conspiracy theorist or something LOL #JustKidding #Kinda #ShowroomMarketing #TurningOnlineInsightsIntoIncomeIsLotsOfFun

As Resi works to expand and improve our e-commerce platform, I figured the best way to learn more about e-commerce would be to get my hands dirty. So I started a Shopify store selling phone cases and art prints. I quickly learned it's a long, arduous, and involved process. From getting your products to show up correctly to writing accurate descriptions, SEO, developing an advertising strategy, managing social media, dealing with Google Adwords and Analytics, and managing the site design, it can quickly consume all of your free time. However, to be good at something, you first need to be brave enough to be really, really bad at it. In the past three days, I've learned more about the inner workings of e-commerce than in the past three months. While my only customer so far has been a friend I convinced to buy a phone case at cost as a sample, I'm excited by this new challenge. It's an interesting puzzle to solve that has given me a newfound respect for my colleagues in marketing. What you guys do is hard. And if you're in the market for a sweet new iPhone case or need some decor for your office - check out https://mosaikdesigns.co/ 😉

When we relaunched industrywest.com 34 days ago our goal was to double-down with our trade customers to drive higher cart quantities and AOV. Here are some of the results we've seen since launch: * 10% lift in new trade accounts * 15% lift in avg number of items in cart * 20% lift in AOV * 90% lift in share of web order revenue associated with trade accounts. (You didn't read that wrong. 90%!) Amazing vision from Jordan England and Anne England, and amazing execution from Tomorrow | Now Domaine. What's next? Lots of segmentation and A/B testing through our partners at Nosto and Visually and immediate work on a new B2B portal/site with Tomorrow | Now Domaine and Shopify.

B2B PR and ABM Specialist | Results-driven leader focused on elevating brands through strategic communications
Nothing irks me more than poor customer experience and service... A recent interaction I have been having with an online bathroom furnisher has proven to me yet again that your products can come in the most beautifully wrapped packaging and physically be some of the best stuff on the market but if your service and communications to your customers are poor, and their experience suffers because of that, they are unlikely to order from you again. "But why are you talking about bathrooms and customer service" I hear you say? And no, I've not done a career swerve and started selling loos and showers. My role in Seeblue is essentially customer service. For a very different set of clients, but the fundamentals remain the same. Clear and prompt updates. Open and honest communications. Come to us with your problems and we will do our best to solve them. If this sounds like something you'd be good at/enjoy, we have two roles open in my team right now. I'd be happy to have an informal chat first to answer any questions (or if you'd like to know about the normal % of bowing expected in a shower tray, I can fill you in on my recent bathroom furnishing escapades). #hiring #b2bmarketing #diysos
