The demand for post-consumer recycled plastic resins (PCR) is increasingly growing. The growing shift of some consumers towards recyclable and eco-friendly materials, combined with growing public awareness of environmental health issues, has led several brands to consider new resins to develop their sustainable solution, in the world of packaging but also in many other industries. Many of our actuators and spray caps but also spray and dispenser pumps have their PCR version, from products with a low percentage of recycled resin to products, such as Hydra, moulded entirely with PCR. LCA documentation is also available on request. Click here to know more about our sustainable solutions https://lnkd.in/dQs4XP7s #pcr #sustainability #circulareconomy #lca #innovation #b2b #aerosol

EPR categorizes plastic waste into 1) rigid packaging, 2) flexible packaging, 3) multilayered materials, and 4) compostable plastics, further divided into rPET granules and finished products. Recyclers should know their categories, as they may belong to multiple. It is important to register under the right category to ensure compliance and avoid penalties. The goal of this video is to offer concise information on plastic waste management categories under EPR, preventing confusion amid detailed regulations. It aims to clarify and guide recyclers for improved compliance and sustainable recycling practices. #EPR #plasticpackaging #eprregulation #rigidpackaging #FlexiblePackaging #multilayeredmaterial #compostablepackaging ##plasticwaste #erpsolutions Miklesh Goel Pratik Goyal Cyrus Mehta Dhairya D., CFA

Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requires EU countries to reduce packaging waste and promote the reuse and #recycling of packaging. RESYCURE helps source sufficient #PCR plastic at optimal quality for product packaging, with recommendations based on brand owners’ specific needs and testing with PCR #plastics, faster qualification, and implementation. Brand owners and converters have achieved lower prices, saved costs and several months in qualification time, with more improvement possible from increasing volume commitments to recyclers and investments in PCR plastic capacity. As new regulatory requirements come in place, RecyClass Certifications adapt! 📣 Are you a PVC recycler or converter? These newly released modules include requirements related to: 🔹 Controlled loop for PVC 🔹 Monitoring of lead These requirements will be mandatory as from November 2024. Additionally, RecyClass Certifications include now requirements specific to closed loop for all plastics 💪 Learn more below 👇
📢 RecyClass launched closed & controlled loop recycling certification modules 📢 These documents mark a significant step in the transparent reporting of the origin and use of ♻ all recycled plastics, including PVC waste. They cover: 🔹 PVC Requirements in the RecyClass Recycling Process Certification 🔹 Loop Requirements in the RecyClass Recycled Plastics Traceability Certification (all plastics) Applicable to plastic recyclers and various actors in the plastic value chain, including converters, these certifications enable verification of the requirements crucial for using recycled plastics in closed and controlled-loop applications. Looking for ways to boost recycled content in your products and comply with upcoming legislation? Check out our mechanically recycled rPP films, made from EU origin, high quality post-consumer waste. These films help reduce the environmental impact of rigid plastic packaging. They offer performance and appearance similar to virgin polypropylene (PP), with a significantly lower carbon footprint than both virgin PP and other recycling options. Mechanically recycled PP highlights: Reduced carbon footprint and water consumption vs. virgin PP Complies with legislation on recycled content in packaging Excellent printability and an appearance similar to virgin PP Available in cavitated white and clear Offered with AD CleanFlake technology, enabling PET and HDPE recycling To find out more, click here: https://avydn.co/3RVGC79 #InnovatewithAD #packaginginnovation #sustainablepackaging

Clarify Terminology for Plastics Recycling - NOW!! Excluding #DissolutionRecycling from INDUSTRY STANDARDS like ISO 15270:2008 „Recovery and Recycling of Plastic Waste“ and EN 17615 „Plastics – Environmental Aspects – Vocabulary” actually prevents building a #CircularEconomy, in order to reduce CO2 emissions and expand the options for #DesignforRecycling. It is absolutely incomprehensible that our recycling standards to this day ignore (or deliberately conceal) the fact that #NaturalSciences distinguish only between PHYSICAL and CHEMICAL processes. Especially since this choice determines whether an #EngineeringMaterial is REUSED or chemically broken down into its #RawMaterials (#Feedstock). It is therefore only to be welcomed that K. Ragaert, S. De Meesters et al also address this issue. Their overview of different pathways for plastics is very comprehensive and a good way to show the complexity. But it still needs some important upgrades, to bring it in line with Natural Science and the actual view of several stakeholders and the European Commission. Link: https://lnkd.in/eenDNsKS In any case, it is good that the general understanding of the scientific context is slowly but steadily improving and the number of people, who understand it, is growing. #plasticwaste #recycling #plasticrecycling #EUgreenDeal #SolventbasedPurification, #DissolutionRecycling
