A Consequential Education at Gettysburg College makes an impact for our graduates long into the future. In a report by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce: ROI of Liberal Arts Colleges, Gettysburg College is ranked No. 29 and No. 32 among liberal arts colleges for 10-year and 40-year Net Present Value (NPV), respectively. Net Present Value (NPV) refers to how much a sum of money in the future is valued today when taking into account costs, future earnings, and the length of time required to invest and earn a specific amount over a fixed horizon. In an analysis of 40-year return on investment (ROI) of 4,500 colleges and universities, Gettysburg ranks in the top 1% in the nation among liberal arts colleges for lifetime ROI, according to the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce. the Record 10 TIME @SantaRosaJC AA Degree & @SonomaStateUniversity alumni, Retired @USArmy 1SG, current @UNCCharlotte #GradSchool student & #ActuallyAutistic.
#26Days. Over FIVE consecutive years, Santa Rosa Junior College conferred upon me #TenDegrees. Although in 2020 and 2021, #COVID19 caused the commencement ceremonies to be online, being a part of FIVE consecutive commencement ceremonies meant a lot to me. In those five years, Ten Degrees in varying subjects were conferred, and all but one class (being Public Speaking) was completely done online. Five degrees prior to #COVID19, Five since. In a little under 4 weeks now, my SIXTH consecutive commencement ceremony will occur. My sole degree, my Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Sonoma State University (thru their Sonoma State University School of Extended and International Education at Sonoma State's Saturday Degree Completion Program), is my #EleventhDegree overall. Eleven degrees in six straight years means a lot to me. Twelve Degrees in seven-eight years means something to me (and will at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte), while Thirteen Degrees in eleven years will mean the most. #ComeWhatMay, it will happen again, and again, and again.

Hampton Christian Academy's 2024 class was a high achieving bunch. Together they accrued 728 college credit hours. For a class of just 21 that’s an average of almost 35 college credits a student. In other words, on average they completed their first year of college already. Our valedictorian graduated with as many as 74 college credit hours. According to Lending Tree the average cost of a college credit hour from a 4-year institution is $456. Those 74 credit hours are worth around $33,744. This graduating class also earned over $6 million total in scholarship money. I would say this is a fairly successful high school graduating class. What criteria do you consider to be a successful high school graduating class?

Educator/Author--Helping people teach English even if they don't have degrees in teaching or English
Hey, small Christian colleges... This is called marketing. It's bold. It's challenging. It makes a clear statement of what to expect when you walk on this particular campus. This is purposefully seeking the RIGHT types of students for your school and telling all others that you aren't the right place for them. Weeding out students is even more important than letting in students. This has a clear mission and vision. And it makes students and their families want to run through a brick wall to attend. NSA also stays profitable each year without needing sports programs and pays its president less than $100,000 per year, while capping enrollment and operating without the recruiting pool of a major city. It can be done! Great lesson here for timid college leaders: Stop racing to the bottom for phony metrics of 'growth'. Be braver. Be clearer. Be more honest. Be more excellent. Be more selective. Be better marketers.
https://lnkd.in/gVZeirnd Most interesting, arresting, distinctive college admissions marketing I have ever seen.
