As #BlackHistoryMonth in the U.S. and Canada comes to an end, we must remember that the fight for equity and justice continues beyond any single month or national context. It is emboldened by the strength found in diversity and the impact of collective action. In this spirit, we highlight "A CEO Blueprint for Racial Equity," a collaborative effort by Council for Inclusive Capitalism members PolicyLink, FSG, and JUST Capital, with additional support from Living Cities. The blueprint offers a comprehensive approach for business leaders worldwide to assess and improve their influence on racial equity, focusing on three critical areas: 🏢Within Organizations: Promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels. 🤝Community Engagement: Enhancing the well-being of local and global communities. 🌎Broader Societal Impact: Advocating for systemic change to achieve racial equity globally. This resource reminds us of our shared responsibility to forge paths toward inclusivity and justice and serves as a roadmap for creating inclusive environments and driving positive change across the globe. Teddy Bekele supports Greater Twin Cities United Way in part because racial equity is a core pillar of our work, and because he prioritizes creating opportunities for increased stability and wealth. 🌟 He says it best: “There are barriers today that are in place because of things that have happened over decades and centuries. If you give someone an equitable opportunity to reach their potential, then they can do things that you could never imagine." Learn more about our impact: https://bit.ly/4dBl1v0 #WhyIGive

Happy Juneteenth! As we celebrate the formal end of slavery in the US, we fully recognize that we still have vast inequalities across the economy. We get the economy we invest in–and in working toward racial equity, investors have a large role to play. By adopting a racial equity lens when making investment decisions, we have the incredible power to shift our economy. In our Nia US Racial Justice portfolio, we track companies that generate revenue from products and services which address needs of communities of color. In building our portfolio, we seek people of color in leadership, companies addressing racial inequity internally via second chance hiring, and companies making strong diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. We know that each dollar we spend and invest makes a difference in shaping our economy. What does a true champion of diversity look like? Read on to find out! We were honoured to have Paul Sesay, the visionary behind The National Diversity Awards and a true champion of equality, diversity and inclusion, speak to our young people. Paul shared his journey of overcoming the challenges of foster care and homelessness to becoming a leading figure in championing diversity. Our young leaders saw themselves in his story, and he showed them how they, too, could be formidable forces for positive change. Paul asked our young people what they wanted to change most, and knife crime was the most common answer, with some having lost friends recently. His message was clear and powerful - that changemaking starts with believing in your ability to create change and taking that first step. With infectious enthusiasm and a 'just do it' attitude, Paul demystified the process of creating change. His interactive session went beyond inspiration; it was a call to action, encouraging our young leaders to envision the change they want to see and providing them with practical steps to start their journey. And he offered his generous support for every step on the journey. The impact was palpable. Every young person left the session not just inspired but equipped with a renewed sense of purpose and the energy to start creating positive change for their communities. Thank you, Paul, for igniting this spark in our Future Leaders. Your story, guidance, and passion have sown seeds of change that will undoubtedly grow into something incredible. #EducateEngageEmpower #FutureLeadersUK #Changemaking #Empowerment #DiversityAndInclusion #RoleModels The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers, Inclusive Companies, Precedent Group,
