Global Strategic Account Manager at F5 (F5, NGiNX, Volterra & Shape Security), Professional Race Car Driver, Team Owner & Brand Ambassador
Heading to #LambdaConf2024? F5's Technical Fellow, Gilad Bacha, will be giving the keynote: Liveness, Literacy, Local First, Lambdas and Llamas. Bracha will discuss what live programming is, how it relates to literate, local-first and functional programming, and how it might play in the brave new world of AI software development. The talk will be part history, part demo, and part speculation on how live programming, with its roots in a humanistic view of computing, can help preserve individual agency in the AI era. 🚀 Day 12 of #30DaysCodeAtTAPAcademy Challenge: Finding Pairs with a Specific Difference in an Array 🚀 Today's challenge propelled us into the realm of advanced array manipulation as we embarked on the task of identifying pairs within an array whose difference is equal to a specified value, k. 💡 This problem posed an intriguing puzzle, pushing us to leverage our problem-solving skills and algorithmic thinking. 🧩 Under the expert guidance of our esteemed instructors, Somanna M G, Rohit Ravinder, and MALLIKARJUN V VERNEKAR 💪, we delved deep into strategies for efficiently navigating arrays and identifying pairs with precision. It was a stimulating exercise that expanded our understanding of array manipulation techniques. 💻 With each passing day, our coding prowess continues to evolve, and we eagerly anticipate the challenges that lie ahead on Day 13! 🌟 #CodingChallenge #Day12 #ArrayManipulation #Algorithm #TAPAcademy

Question 47: Advanced Array Destructuring: Given an array of objects representing different laptops, each with properties `make`, `model`, and `year`, use array destructuring to assign the first and second laptops to variables. Then, log these variables. Question 48: Combining Arrays with Spread Operator: Suppose you're comparing prices of two different sets of laptops. Use the spread operator to combine these arrays into a single array sorted in ascending order, then log the result. GemCityML is launching into 2024 with two tutorials in January. I will be giving a No/Low Code tutorial on how to make a vision based ML application. This tutorial is for all ages and skill levels. I was planning on giving it to Elementary or Middle school students in Dec. 2023 for CS week, but fell sick to the crude. I will walk one through the NO coding ML algorithm training with Google's Teachable Machines. This is a powerful way to make a prototype to test an application before one invests in software development. It allows you to make a custom ML algorithm that can run in your browser, computer or even microcontrollers. Please bring a laptop so that you too can build a custom ML web application on Jan. 18th at 6pm. I am still debating whether it is worthwhile to invest two years in studying programming. Watch the video below to see Devin, the next big thing in AI-assistant programming. Devin has the potential to help amateur programmers become professionals with just some prompts. What do you think of this development? #ai #devin #programming

I'm currently pondering whether dedicating two years to studying programming is a worthwhile investment. Check out the video below featuring Devin, an up-and-coming talent in AI-assistant programming. Devin shows promise in assisting novice programmers in their journey to professionalism with just a few prompts. What are your thoughts on this advancement? https://lnkd.in/gDRXK7Mt #AI #Devin #Programming

The deeper you dig into programming, the simpler the concepts get. For me, the biggest issue with learning about „complex“ topics like low code AI or codecs, is that they‘re written by scientists. Variables and function names tend to be disconnected from reality. Concepts incromprehensible, unless you speak their language. Thankfully attending university helps this. We need to get more engineers to write their own papers.

For any programmers out there, you might enjoy this amazing 2013 presentation by Bret Victor. https://lnkd.in/eSyfBqf2 It pretends to be from 1973, and imagines how different coding would be in 40 years time due to advances in software: ⚡ Direct manipulation of data, not coding ⚡ Goals and constraints, rather than procedures - let the machine figure it out for you ⚡ Spatial representations, not piles of text ⚡ Massively parallel processing, not sequential steps It's fun and witty, but also accuses the computer industry of stagnation. 11 years after this presentation, has much changed? Coding is still mostly about manipulating symbols in text files. And as far as I know, AI assistants like Copilot just speed up the ability to create those text files.

Senior Software Architect at McKinsey | MIT-Certified Professional in Sustainability | Innovating Solutions Through Problem-Solving
I've been sharpening my tech skills through LeetCode, a ritual many in tech leadership share to stay relevant. However, my recent foray into GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot has been eye-opening. Despite their current limitations, the rapid evolution of AI in programming challenges us to rethink our roles. Are we moving towards a future where programmers transition from being indispensable assets to potential redundancies? This video I found resonates with these thoughts and is worth a watch. It's a pivotal time for us in tech to reflect on our future. #codingfuture #softwaredevelopment #genai #copilot
