We've seen a growing trend worldwide of governments using deception to protect nations and their secrets. We are thrilled to see this announcement by @NCSC that shows the UK is prioritizing the adoption of active defense to boost national security. Recognizing the value of using cyber deception to protect against threats, NCSC are inviting UK organizations to contribute evidence of cyber deception use cases and efficacy to help with long-term research. The National Cyber Security Centre is inviting UK organisations to contribute evidence of cyber deception use cases and efficacy to support their long-term research goals. 💡 In an era where cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated, traditional defences aren't enough. The NCSC has developed a new approach to understanding and preventing such attacks: using large-scale evidence to enhance cyber deception. By studying how cyber attackers operate in real-world scenarios, we're not just reacting—we're staying ahead. This initiative has the potential to be game-changer for organisations looking to outsmart cyber adversaries. To establish this evidence base, the NCSC plan to collect existing evidence, which is where you come in. The NCSC are keen to work with public and private sector organisations across the UK who have deployed solutions for cyber attacks. If this is you, you can contribute to this initiative here: https://lnkd.in/gj3CANT6 #CyberSecurity #CyberDeception #Innovation

I hosted Chief Commissioner Dr. Alena Pejcochová of the Cybercrime Division, National Organized Crime Agency, Police of the Czech Republic. We discussed the critical issue of "Cybercrime as a Transnational Threat" and conducted practical ha*king simulations “ethically”. It was an enlightening experience highlighting the global nature of cyber threats and the importance of international collaboration in tackling these challenges. #Cybersecurity #Cybercrime #InternationalCollaboration #GhanaPolice #HackingSimulations #TechInnovation

🔔 Our new case study: ✔ During the Russian full-scale invasion, the Client, one of Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, faced unprecedented cybersecurity challenges. ✔With heightened tensions and the increased likelihood of cyber attacks, the Client’s infrastructure was under the highest risk of being targeted by sophisticated hacking attempts aimed at disrupting their operations, stealing sensitive information, and spreading misinformation. ✔Ensuring the security of their digital infrastructure became paramount, requiring robust defense mechanisms and constant vigilance to safeguard against potential breaches and cyber espionage orchestrated by adversarial actors. ✔ If you are interested in deception check out our platform at 🌐www.labyrinth.tech or contact us 📧 info@labyrinth.tech and our engineers will be glad to share more insights regarding Labyrinth Deception Platform advantages and guide you through a free PoC. #cyberdeception #cybersecurity #cyberdefense #casestudy #StandWithUkraine Find out more ↩

Instead of waiting for a breach to occur, proactively seek intelligence by directly engaging with adversaries in their own backyard. This is one of the many topics we cover in SANS Institute FOR589: Cybercrime Intelligence. S/O to Jon DiMaggio for the collab on such an important topic that is not covered nearly enough in this industry: HUMINT and its role within Cybersecurity. We can't wait to share part 2 with you all!
