The Making a Difference – Community Service Award recognizes an employee, independent contractor or employee of an independent contractor of OneDigital who is making significant contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents and dedication. Evolvies are awarded annually by OneDigital in order to recognize certain achievements and/or efforts of OneDigital’s employees, independent contractors or service providers, or of an employee of an independent contractor or service provider of OneDigital (collectively, “Teammate”). Finalists and Award Recipients are selected by the President of OneDigital in their sole and absolute subjective discretion. To be eligible for an Evolvie, you must be nominated by a OneDigital employee or independent contractor, however, self-nomination is permitted. Ros, what are you going to do after retirement? Friends, colleagues and relatives have been asking about my retirement plan these past few months. Jokingly my spontaneous reply would be: I want to do nothing😀. They would roll their eyes in disbelief. I am always an active person. So it is hard for them to accept my answer. So here's my plan for the next 12 months: 1. Go on holiday 2. Furnish rumah kebun 3. Plant fruit trees, herbs & flowers at my small kebun 4. Board of Advisor (higher education) 5. Part-time teaching 6. Welfare/Charity activities 7. Go on holiday 8. Go on holiday 9. Go on holiday Have a great/long weekend everyone. Be safe❤️ #retirementplan

For my non-profit and education connections, here's a bit of retirement history. You hear about 401(k)s but you might have a 403(b) and are wondering why. The 403(b) actually pre-dates the 401(k) and was established in 1958 as a way to offer public school, non-profit, or religious orgs a way to allow their employees to save for retirement on a tax deferred basis. Prior to it, most employees of public school systems had a pension, but non-profits or religious organizations were limited in what they could offer. So the 403(b) was created to solve for that. The 401(k) came around later in 1978 as more and more private companies, and their employees, were looking for an alternative to pensions. So there you go with a little history on why you may have one or the other at your school, hospital, non-profit, church, or university.
