Reminder to everyone: Your recruiter doesn't need to be in the same country to find you a job or staff! For example, I might be based in Berwick, just 4 miles south of the Scottish border, but that doesn’t make me any less qualified to recruit for a position in Newquay, 513 miles away, than in Scotland. The way to judge a recruiter is the strength of their network and relationships—most of which are developed through a phone and internet connection. If you want someone who lives and breathes your specific location, consider hiring a local historian. Otherwise, trust in the process of a well-connected recruiter to get the job done.
