Are you considering relocating and applying for a new job in a different city or state? Here are three key things I look for when reviewing resumes from out-of-state candidates: 📞 Phone number area code - If the area code matches the city I'm recruiting in (e.g., 314/636 for Greater St. Louis), it indicates that you've lived in the city before and are likely familiar with the area and serious about returning. 💼 Clear indication of willingness to relocate - Having "willing to relocate to [specific city]" on your resume is more specific than a general statement. 🎓 Education - If you went to high school or college in the same city as the job, this again shows familiarity with the area and a serious investment and understanding of it. Recruiters don’t want to waste your time or theirs. Eliminate the guesswork. #JobSearch #Relocation #JobSeeker #ResumeTips #JobOpportunities #AccountingJobs #STLjobs #PEGstaff #workwithPEG

Hello, Linkedin Community! Took a moment to focus on new project plus caught a bug but returning back to put out my job banner again. Not everyone has a higher degree of education, many of things could have taken place for them to not achieve said education. Although, I have attended college and other schools. Unfortunately, still do not have my degree. Not everyone has a "smooth ride" or can get assistance. I showed up to my job early, every day for 2 1/2 years due to heavy construction developing near my home. Sat in my car to work on college courses or simply watch a movie until the shift started which was nightshift. Never missed a day unless needed in which I had plenty of time to use. Unpaid and paid, unless VTO then time was used especially vacation. I believe in doing my job for that is what I was hired to do. Not really the type to have too much non-work-related conversations...during the time we should be working. Non-work-related talk can either be during break or off the clock. My background has been surrounded by very successful individuals from the armed services, social workers, lawyers, accountants, probation officers, steel mill workers and more.... the line "Work hard" has been driven into me from childhood. Thus, putting this out there to look at my resume or my LinkedIn page. If there is something I can do remotely. Reach out. Thank you for reading and enjoy your day. #remotecommunity #remoteopportunity #remotejob #remoteworking #remoteposition

Hello,Hi, Hola, A note to employers and recruiters. There is not a single, solitary receptionist or administrative assistant position that requires a Master's and 10+ years of experience. Especially when you're offering $19.50/hr. Absolutely. Not. I've been job hunting for over a year and have sent out 2,000+ applications. So I can say with authority that y'all are requiring advanced qualifications for entry level positions to your own detriment. I've watched full time admin positions sit unfilled, then relisted by recruitment agencies, relisted yet again as part time gigs and then start the cycle all over again. You cannot expect people with advanced degrees to work for slightly better than minimum wage in major cities like LA and New York. Additionally, you're boxing out excellent workers who didn't get the opportunity to attend college, but who are dynamite workers. Be realistic. If you think a degree of some sort is truly required to be a receptionist or administrative assistant, then a GED should more than suffice. And 10+ years experience is a bad joke that y'all need to retire.

Today was a big day for our family—my firstborn started kindergarten. Watching him walk into that big school with bullish excitement and courage stirred up a mix of emotions in me. As parents, we often fear the unknown, worried about the challenges our children might face as they step into new environments. But as I saw my son tackle his day with such bravery, it dawned on me: Fear is something that often develops as we grow older. The more we experience, the more cautious we become, sometimes to the point of projecting our anxieties onto those we love. Today reminded me how important it is to let my son experience life on his own terms and to be careful not to let my fears become his. This lesson resonates deeply in the staffing world as well. As recruiters and account managers, we encounter candidates and clients who are stepping into the unknown—new roles, new challenges, new opportunities. It’s our job to instill in them the same confidence and excitement that my son felt today, helping them face the future not with fear, but with anticipation and courage. Here's to tackling the unknown with confidence, whether it's the first day of school or the first day on the job! #Parenting #Recruitment #Confidence #Staffing #CareerGrowth #hiring #Turn2Partners #HRJobs #admin #EA #Marketing #hiringnow

Sr. Technical Recruiter | Recruit security-cleared engineers & scientists | Enthusiastic people-person with a mutant curiosity gene
A few years ago, I spoke to a neighbor and learned that her spouse's main administrative professional has just resigned from his medical office. She asked me if I knew anyone looking for full-time work. I told her that no one came to mind but I'd reach back if I could refer anyone personally to her. Within two days a former colleague and friend came to mind, and within 1 business week, that friend started the job! Networking takes ALL sorts of forms - be willing to express what you're looking for with others (friends, former coworkers/bosses, family, and neighbors) because they may know of an opportunity. A caveat: be clear and concise about the type of work you're pursuing and your skill sets. #jobsearchtips #networking #jobsearch #hiring
