Controversial topic... 🗣 Event budgets can be a tricky topic when selecting a venue. I’ve often asked clients for their budget, only to hear, “We’re not sure. We haven’t even thought about it.” Then, when I present a proposal, they immediately say, “This is over our budget!" Clients hesitate to share their budgets for many reasons: fear of overcharging, lack of trust, negotiation tactics, and even fear of judgment. Sometimes, early on, there might not be a set budget, making it tough to give an exact figure. Fair. But in most cases, sharing your budget actually works in your favor. Here’s how sharing your budget upfront can benefit you: ✨ Tailored Proposals: Venues can provide options that perfectly match your financial goals. Even sometimes offering discounts to stay within your budget. ✨ Resource Efficiency: It helps venues use resources wisely, avoiding unnecessary costs and focusing on what matters to you. ✨ Transparent Communication: Open budget discussions foster trust and transparency, ensuring there are no surprises down the line. ✨ Enhanced Experience: When venues understand your financial limits, they can focus on enhancing the overall event experience within those boundaries. 📸: Sweets' Spot Wrap Party and Screening at The Beverly Theater by Chase Stevens #BeverlyTheater #EventPlanning #EventManagement #EventBudget #ClientTips #VenueManagement #EventProfs #LasVegas #DTLV

3moI couldn't agree more with this! If I know the client's budget, it's much easier for me to work out the numbers for what is doable instead of writing up a proposal that absolutely won't work for the client. All in all, I believe the transparency makes it much quicker to consider the venue or move on.
