Yesterday was National Love Your Pet day. According to this article, Americans are choosing their pet interaction over human interaction. I guess humans are annoying aren’t we? 😊 In 2003, the typical female pet owner spent much more time with humans than her cats and dogs. In 2023, two decades later, it has flipped! Pet interaction wins over human interaction. In a world in which human beings are becoming more polarized, maybe a solution is interacting more with one another - ‘choosing engagement over estrangement.’ How else will we become better at collaboration and solving complex problems? This seems to be an alarming trend or is it a pet thing that I simply cannot understand? #humaninteraction #chooseengagement #choices #petlove

In the classic tale of the dog and the rabbit, it's not just about who has longer legs or greater physical abilities. The underlying lesson lies in the motivations driving their actions. The dog, with its longer legs and presumably greater speed, runs in pursuit of the rabbit. However, the rabbit, despite its comparative disadvantage in terms of speed, is driven by an entirely different purpose: self-preservation. While the dog is chasing the rabbit for the benefit of its owner, the rabbit is running solely to protect itself. This narrative illustrates a broader lesson about motivation and purpose. It suggests that when we act solely for the benefit of others, without considering our own well-being or interests, we may ultimately find ourselves at a disadvantage. The dog's loss in the race symbolizes the potential outcome of prioritizing others' goals over our own. The key takeaway is the importance of advocating for our own rights and interests. Like the rabbit, we must learn to fight for ourselves, not solely for the benefit of others. By doing so, we empower ourselves and ensure that our actions align with our own goals and aspirations. #ownrights #advocacy #rights #goals #empower #motivation

Top 50 Lawyer in America | Top 100 Criminal Defense Attorney | Personal Injury Attorney | Founder of Keith B. Johnson Law | Legal Analyst
We all have something to offer in making the world a kinder, fairer place. Now, for the past 15 years, I've been a champion for those facing legal challenges in criminal defense and personal injury cases. It's a responsibility I take seriously, fighting for people's rights in the courtroom. But you know what? My passion for justice extends beyond those walls. I'm also a dedicated dad and a pumped-up football coach! In both roles, I try to instill the values of teamwork, discipline, and leadership in everyone around me. In today's world, it feels like empathy and understanding are more important than ever. That's why I strive to bring those qualities to everything I do, both professionally and personally. Making a positive impact isn't some abstract idea – it's something we can all achieve. It doesn't have to be a giant leap. Find a cause you care about, however big or small, and start there. You'd be surprised by the ripple effect you can create! Let's make a difference together, one step at a time. #DefendingJustice #CommunityChange #SocialJusticeAdvocate #AugustaLawyer #Georgia

Lila MacLellan, Senior Writer at Fortune wrote a thorough analysis (Sept., 2024) of anti-woke activist Robby Starbuck's efforts in his campaign against corporate DEI programs. Here are the top 15 takeaways from the article: 1. Robby Starbuck, a 35-year-old conservative activist, is campaigning against DEI programs in major companies. 2. He targets companies he believes are frequented by conservative consumers, arguing they shouldn't spend money on "left-wing causes." 3. Starbuck has successfully influenced several large companies to modify or reduce their DEI initiatives. 4. Companies like John Deere, Tractor Supply, Ford, Lowe's, Harley Davidson, Molson Coors, and Brown-Forman have made changes to their DEI policies (note: these changes vary and some only include dropping participation in the HRC's Corporate Equality Index that measures inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals). 5. Starbuck's background is in the entertainment industry, where he directed music videos before transitioning to political activism. 6. He uses social media, particularly video posts, to criticize company DEI policies and training materials. 7. Starbuck argues for workplace "neutrality" and against discussing social issues or politics at work. 8. Some DEI advocates argue that Starbuck's influence is grossly overstated, suggesting targeted companies (believed to be frequented by conservative consumers) weren't strongly committed to inclusion in the first place. 9. Companies have cited various reasons for changing policies, including evolving legal environments and long-term planning. 10. Some organizations, like As You Sow and the New York State Comptroller, are pushing back against the rollback of DEI initiatives. 11. The Human Rights Campaign is mobilizing public support for inclusive corporate policies. 12. DEI experts suggest that companies with strong, well-researched programs are less likely to be swayed by such campaigns. 13. Surveys indicate that the majority of Americans and companies still support DEI programs. 14. Starbuck claims to have thousands of "whistleblowers" reporting DEI policies they dislike. 15. The article highlights the ongoing debate about the role of DEI in corporate America and the pushback against such initiatives. #DEI #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #ChangeManagement #AntiWoke

Some comedians want to create a controversy out of everything! There are few things, identify the difference: 1) offering free ownership to rowdy's and dacoits - extortion! 2) helping people who are in need - human nature and generosity! 3) helping people with talent and encouraging! - encouraging talent! 1 - evil 2 - most normal people 3 - people who know the true meaning of helping i.e helping a person who has growth capabilities, someday he returns the same favours to the society!
