Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to share space with new and old faces from the Messy Roots coaching community during a free coaching clinic. Being part of a coaching community has transformed and inspired my journey in ways I never even thought possible. Here’s what I love about it: 1. Support and Accountability: In this community, we uplift one another. When are unsure of ourselves or challenges arise, I know I have a group of passionate individuals ready to support and hold me accountable. 2. Shared Knowledge: The diverse experiences and perspectives within this community have pushed my thinking in expansive ways. Learning from others' successes and failures helps me grow faster and smarter. I’ve learned and unlearned so much over the last year. 3. Collaboration Over Competition: There’s a genuine spirit of collaboration in this space, which is refreshing and rare. We celebrate each other’s wins and share resources, which fosters an environment of growth rather than rivalry. 4. Continuous Growth: Coaching clinics, zoom meetings, and feedback sessions push me to refine my skills and explore new strategies. It’s inspiring to see everyone striving for excellence to better serve our communities. 5. Genuine Connections: I’ve been able to connect with other coaches of color through authentic conversations. I’m so glad to be a part of a space where I can practice coaching without fear of judgement. If you're considering joining a coaching community, do it! The growth, support, and relationships you'll gain are invaluable. Let’s keep pushing each other to reach new heights! Special shout out to my guy Mario Jovan Shaw for crafting this community and doing his thing.
