Women's participation in the labour force, their access to decent work and better earnings are essential for inclusive and sustainable development. But despite strong economic growth, rising incomes and wages in the Indian economy, women's labour force participation is still very low. There are many challenges at different levels such as women's access to employment, working conditions and circumstances, employment security, pay gap, work and family responsibilities, and discrimination. According to a McKinsey report, Improving female workforce participation in India can increase the country's GDP by 18%. It is a fact that without women's participation, the overall socio-economic progress of society comes to a halt. We can not imagine a developed society without inclusion.
