The Super Bowl Celebration is missing a CRITICAL MISSING NARRATIVE Watching the jubilation of the players, coaches, ownership, and the fans is always something I enjoy taking in. Even better, is when you can experience it as a participant. Then it hit me. The NFL is missing the narrative on truly celebrating the team. They separate a few stars from the others to be on a stage. They separate the head coach from the other staff. Teams are truly teams when trust, bonds, and relationships are formed. It's an understanding of this that makes the saying 'nobody wins alone' make complete sense. Fodder to think about as we reflect on the celebration of our teams: How can we be as inclusive of our teammates as possible in sharing the victory? How might we bring our fans into the celebration? How might we give the spotlight to the unsung heroes? Life is a TEAM GAME. This applies to business, sports, and our personal lives. How can we be more intentional on celebrating as a united front. State of Market for April. With inflation not disappearing, interest rates will not be going down. Productivity is low,and we have an energy policy by Government hell-bent on destroying business. Quietly, orgainsations are re-structuring and taking out heads and building work forces off shore. Prtetty disappointing when we are sitting on some of the best commodities in the world. We are blindly taking ourselves down. There will be M&A because asset valuations will fall...but more importantly if we keep proceeding like sheep in the way that we are falling to the lowest common denominator and not having the back bone to start calling things out ...it won't just be the east coast per head of capita in a recession ...make it the country. How are we letting this happen? Going forward there will be a great deal more roles made redundant ...a sad state of affairs.
