April is a significant month as CAN Community Health comes together to recognize Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). It’s a time to raise our voices, spread awareness and stand in solidarity against sexual violence. This year’s “Building Connected Communities” campaign launched by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center, highlights the crucial role of inclusive, equitable and connected communities in the fight against abuse, assault and harassment. In our journey towards building a more compassionate world for all, it’s vital to educate ourselves, advocate for others and actively challenge harmful attitudes and behaviors that may contribute negatively to the health and well-being of survivors. Survivors of sexual violence can find resources from the National Sexual Assault Hotline, a confidential 24/7 support center online at online.rainn.org or at (800)656-4673. Together, let’s break the silence and promote a culture of consent and accountability. #SAAM #SAAM2024 #SexualAssaultAwarenessMonth #BreakTheSilence #BuildingConnectedCommunities #CANCommunityHealth

Tell us what you think! The Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence (KCSDV) invites you to participate in an anonymous partner survey focused on the primary prevention of sexual violence. We know that stopping sexual violence before it has a chance to happen is one of our greatest opportunities to create impact. We invite our allies, partners, and collaborators (past and present) to help us to focus our efforts. Your responses will directly impact what resources and programs we pursue. https://lnkd.in/gqwVtuS8
