The University of Greenwich has picked McLaren Construction, #Wates, #MorganSindall, #Vinci and #WillmottDixon to deliver a £300m programme of works covering a mix of refurbishment, rebuild and new build projects. Projects delivered by the University’s framework deal are expected to vary in value between £50m and £250m across three campuses. The mix of properties within scope include scheduled monuments, listed buildings, buildings of various ages and new construction. This includes the delivery of a new learning, research, and enterprise hub at #Greenwich; new learning and research spaces at the #Medway campus and up-graded teaching, simulated learning and research spaces at #AveryHill to meet changing models of health care and education

Manchester Metropolitan University and Unite Students have announced plans to redevelop Cambridge Halls at the All Saints Campus to address student accommodation demand. The proposal involves replacing the existing 770-bed site with 2,330 new homes, including two towers of 30 and 24 storeys. With MMU requiring 5,700 beds annually, the project aims to increase availability and ease pressure on the private rental sector. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/efNC-Bgu

Colliers arranges sale of the Cambridge campus with two buildings totaling 83,136-square-feet across 7.8 acres. The sale of the Cambridge Matignon School campus to Benjamin Banneker Charter Public School marks the transition for the long-standing institution, known for its educational excellence and commitment to the local community. Located at 1 Matignon Road in Cambridge, the 7-acre land includes playing fields, science labs, an auditorium, and a gymnasium. The two former buildings, Matignon High School and the Administrative Building, both constructed in 1945, were previously leased and have now been sold. "We are proud to have worked closely with the community and alumni to ensure a smooth transition with the sale of this important property, honoring both its legacy and ensuring the beautiful campus will be able to provide continued impact for the Cambridge community," said James Elcock, Vice Chair at Colliers.
