I bridge the gaps between strategy, ideas and execution. Dynamic Creative and entrepreneur Driving innovation, artistic collaboration, Leadership, and Overall Excellence in the branded experience and event world.
The intricate realm of creative production—a place where imagination meets the cold, hard facts of budgets and feasibility. As a technical and creative production expert, I find myself orchestrating this dance, balancing the aspirations of clients with the pragmatic demands of production, all the while maintaining a wry sense of amusement. Budget discussions are a tale as old as time: clients' grand visions meet the sobering costs of production, leaving us to work magic with limited resources. It's a challenge—like fitting an elephant into a teacup. Creativity is key, but it must be tempered with efficiency. Too often, creatives ignore the practicalities, leading to a cycle of revisions and frustration. This disconnect hinders both the creative process and the final impact, like squeezing a size 12 foot into a size 6 shoe. The essence of our work is impact, which mustn't be compromised by budget or time constraints. Clear collaboration between creatives and producers from the start is essential, ensuring ideas are feasible and impactful. My point, in case it is still unclear, is that the role of technical and creative production experts is crucial in merging creativity with practicality. This fosters collaboration and transcends limitations, leading to a harmonious and impactful creative production. In our whimsical field, it's this blend that creates the extraordinary.

Meet The New Conquistadors - Offshore Creative Production Hubs Meet the new conquistadors, but this time they're not armor clad and on horseback, and they're not even European. Yeap, the new conquistadors are offshore creative production hubs. Here's a stat: 90% of companies offshore creative production or post-production services. We're not kidding when we say conquistador - this model is literally taking over. Over the past 4 years, We Are Amnet's yearly creative production benchmark report has shown that only around 66% of companies offshored their creative, but all of a sudden - we're at 90%. So where's this all coming from? Well the key thing to understand is demand for content is higher than ever. Think back 10 years and campaigns would consist of a TVC and some OOH. Now our campaigns need to get on all sorts of media platforms, and all in different formats. These days you'd be hard pressed to find a brief that didn't at the very least include some social formats and display banners. In fact, over the past three years, companies have been spending 40% more of their budgets on production. But here's the thing, companies can't keep up. Think how many times agencies have let your company down by delivering late. The bottom line is agencies don't have the capacity to keep up with the demand. But wait, there's more… Offshoring is not a new idea, it's been around for decades. And there has always been a kind of stigma around it, the conception was that there's no way someone on the other side of the world could be as efficient as this person in my office. But then COVID came, and everything changed. Lockdowns broke down all those conceptions and marked the start of the amazing growth curve that creative offshoring is in today. So what's next? Offshore creative production hubs like Stratia rising to the next set of challenges; offshore companies are automating their workflows, incorporating AI, and ensuring they are tech-led in everything they do. This is what is triggering more agencies, and brands, to start offshoring their creative. And we'll be seeing the new conquistadors providing spectacular value for more and more companies. Check out website to meet your very own conquistador! https://lnkd.in/dHmfwMn6

Senior Creative Producer | Brand & Advertising | Creative Project Manager | Photo Shoots | TV Advertising Campaigns | Driving Brand Cohesion & Excellence
In the art of creative production, producers often face pressure to say 'yes' to every idea. However, mastering the word 'no' can be just as crucial for staying true to our goals and maintaining our brand's integrity. What’s the funniest or most unexpected 'no' you've had to deliver? Let’s share our stories! For me, most of my “no’s” stemmed from either budget/time constraints or completely off-brand ideas: 🚫 The Last-Minute Change: "No, we can't change the entire concept the day before the shoot because someone had a 'brilliant' new idea." 💰 Luxury Location for a Low-Budget Shoot: "No, we can't shoot at that five-star resort. Our budget is more 'local park' than 'luxury getaway'!" 🦄 The Unrelated Product: "No, we’re not featuring our merchandise alongside a giant inflatable unicorn. Let’s keep it relevant!" 🕰 The Unreasonable Timeline: "No, we can't shoot, edit, and launch a campaign in 24 hours. Even superheroes need time! (Although I did manage it in 48 hours once!)” I’d love to hear your stories! What’s the most unexpected “no” you’ve had to deliver in your role? #creativeproduction #teamcollaboration #projectmanagement #workplacehumor

Thursday Tips; The Power of Pre-Production! A robust pre-production process is the foundation for a smooth, efficient, and successful production Here are some key benefit of doing extensive pre production work before launching any entertainment product: 1. Crystal Clear Vision: Before hitting record, pre-production allows you to define your goals, target audience, and message. This clarity translates to a more focused and impactful final product. 2. Enhanced Efficiency: Imagine a well-oiled machine – that's what a streamlined pre-production process is like. Scripting, storyboarding, and location scouting all happen here, ensuring a smooth and efficient shoot. 3. Cost Control: Pre-production helps avoid costly surprises on set. 🎬 Pre- Production🎬 Today on Media Mondays, we unpack Pre-Production. Last week we discussed extensively the ideation phase which I share in this video as what requires a lot of “Mental Stamina”. Ideation is where we think through everything, where we set apart what we’re creating, understand it’s story and what impact we wish to make with the work. Pre-production then becomes the execution of that mental stimulation of ideas. It’s putting together the pieces, it’s the planning and preparation that goes to ensure a smooth and seamless day of production or filming. Gathering all the resources required to make the project a success. As content creators we often times get so excited to be on set to film or record that we skip this phase. I believe this step is critical to save both time and money in the process, I share in the video how. Of course there are things that we cannot predict and preempt but there are things that we should prepare for. I think of it this way; every creator needs their tools and the correct conditions to create magic. Pre-production is where and when we gather those tools, make sure all magic tools we need to create the art are in place and the environment matches the best conditions for the creator to create. Then the day of the filming or recording of the content becomes the day the magic is created. The creator is more inspired, more Ignited to create because all their tools are available for them to create and the environment allows. So as the content creator community I propose we borrow the implementation of this phase for every single project. Let’s gather all tools and cultivate the correct environment prior to filming and creating, let’s not leave out pre-production. On this video I share more insights on some of the things that you can consider doing in the pre-production phase. It’s in these carefully curated moments, where the story isn’t just told but lived, that connections are made, emotions are stirred, and the message transcends the ordinary to become something truly extraordinary. Here, the narrative isn’t just crafted - it’s brought to life in vivid, immersive detail. We love to see examples of Krotos Studio being used to push the boundaries of creativity, and this recent piece by talented Film Maker Oliver Kelly is a perfect illustration! Given full creative control for a promotional campaign video, Oliver took the opportunity to rethink the way we perceive bag advertising. As Oliver puts it, "It is very common to come across videos of a bag with zero context and emotion. I decided I wanted to change the way we usually create bag ads and wanted to connect a story with it." What truly sets this project apart is the immersive sound design, crafted entirely using Krotos Studio. By integrating rich sound effects, Oliver has created a captivating experience that pulls the audience right into the story. This approach not only showcases the product but also evokes a powerful emotional response. Oliver's work is a testament to the transformative power of creativity and technology in storytelling. It's a reminder that with the right tools and vision, we can transcend traditional boundaries and create content that truly resonates. Kudos to Oliver Kelly for pushing the envelope and inspiring us all to think outside the box! 🙌 #madewithkrotos #sounddesign #storytelling #videoproduction
