Steps to launch a successful MVP 🚀 And why it still might fail... 🤦♂️ Your MVP launch day may only last 24 hours but a lot of work goes into it behind the scenes for days, weeks, and months before. Here are the five key things most successful MVP launches do well. - Start building hype early You need an audience when you release your MVP. This initial audience will be your first supporters and earliest promoters. This early support will also be critical in giving you early feedback and guidance to help you build the best MVP possible. - Don’t rush to market When you’re building your MVP it’s an exciting time and you can’t wait for people to start using it. You need to make sure that you control this excitement and only launch when your MVP is ready. You want the initial excitement and hype to turn into a wave rather than peter out into the ocean of other MVPs. - Focus on UX People will forgive your product not having all of the bells and whistles when you first launch, as long as your MVP solves their problems and is easy to use. People don’t want to learn how to use a new tool, they’re too busy! - Have an open mind Your initial idea is what’s got you to where you are right now but you can’t hold onto it unyieldingly. If lots of people are saying the same thing to you, make sure that you are listening. Oftentimes the best ideas are the ones you’ve never had. - Have good branding Your MVP, social media accounts, and content should all have common branding. People need to know it’s you when they come across your work. Make sure that you are using the same logos and brand colours across your whole online presence. With all this said, there's still a chance that your MVP fails, there’s lots of competition out there and sometimes somebody else just does it better. Look at the data that you've collected and figure out what your best next steps are. What are your tips to make sure that you MVP is a success? Comment below what returns the best success for you. #business #startup #startups

Reminder: The efforts of yesterday become the impacts of today. This is one big reason why growth marketing at early stage startups can feel like such an uphill battle. You write, send, analyze, and brainstorm. Tweak, iterate, hypothesize, and test. You create, publish, refresh, repurpose, publish again, engage, measure, adjust... 😅 You bang your head against the wall wondering why your Olympic-level efforts haven't resulted in a major victory already. 🧠 As a marketer at a startup or early stage company, you're constantly doing—with hopes that it will have immediate impacts. When in reality, a LOT of what you're doing right now (like, almost all of it) will only have impacts weeks—or months, even years—downstream. Patience is a powerful tool. All those purchases and sign-ups you see today are reflections of the work you did a while ago. So keep your chin up. What you're doing matters. 👏 PS. All this being said, there are some initiatives that have immediate turnarounds too. DM me if you want to chat more about those ideas 😉 #marketing #growthmarketing #startups

🚀 How to Not Suck at Building a Business! 🚀 Everyone’s got a brilliant idea—until the market crushes it like a bad Tinder date. So, let’s cut the fluff and get to what actually works (Hint: It’s not just good vibes). 🔍 Market Validation – If no one wants your product, congrats, you’ve created the world’s most expensive paperweight. Test, fail, and try again until someone’s wallet twitches. 🎯 GTM Strategy – AKA “Go-to-Market Strategy” but could also be called "Guess-Til-Miracle" if you’re winging it. Newsflash: If your GTM involves posting on Instagram and praying for virality, you might be job-hunting soon. 🔄 Continuous Refinement – The art of doing the same thing, but better. If you're not constantly improving, your competitors will. Or worse... your customers will forget you exist. (Ouch, right?) 💼 Service After Sale – If you treat customers like one-night stands, don’t be surprised when they ghost you. You're in a long-term relationship now—keep them happy, or they’ll leave you faster than a bad haircut. 📉 Risk Analysis – Take a good look at all the ways you could fail... and then aim to fail slightly less. Every competitor’s mistake is a free lesson, so take notes. 🔁 Repeat Customers – The real MVPs. You know who doesn’t care about your marketing budget? Customers who already love you. Spoil them like your favorite pet. 🎯 Competitor Failures – Pro tip: If your competition is screwing up, capitalize on it. Their mistakes are like free pizza—don’t ask questions, just enjoy. 💡 Bonus Tip: Failure Isn’t Fatal (Mostly) – You’re going to fail. A lot. But hey, even if your startup crashes and burns, at least you’ll have a killer party story. Startups aren’t a sprint; they’re a slow-motion obstacle course where you’ll trip, fall, and probably lose a shoe. But if you nail these basics, you might just make it to the finish line—with both shoes intact. #Startups #Entrepreneurship #GTM #MarketValidation #ContinuousImprovement #CustomerSuccess #RepeatBusiness #GrowthHacks

Zero to One Startup Wizard 🧙 | For me, 'doing the work' means cracking the toughest nuts! 💪🔍 | First Principles in Action, Always
🚀 Launch Fast, Pivot Smart! One of the greatest strengths of a startup is the ability to be agile. Launch your product quickly, gather real-world feedback, and be ready to pivot. Why is this important? Let’s take a look at some successful examples: 1. Instagram 📸: Initially launched as #Burbn, a check-in app with features for photos and gaming. The founders noticed users loved the photo-sharing feature and pivoted to focus on that, creating Instagram. 2. Slack 💬: Originally an internal communication tool for a game called #Glitch. When the game failed, the team pivoted to market the communication tool, leading to the creation of Slack. How to Do It: -> Start with an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) 🛠️: Build a simple version of your product to test the core idea. -> Launch Quickly 🏃: Get your MVP out to the market as soon as possible to start collecting feedback. -> Listen to Your Users 👂: Pay attention to what your early adopters are saying. Their feedback is gold. -> Be Ready to Pivot 🔄: If something isn’t working, don’t be afraid to change direction. Use the feedback to refine or completely change your product. Why to Do It: -> Save Time and Resources ⏳: By pivoting early, you avoid wasting resources on a product that doesn’t meet market needs. -> Adapt to Market Needs 📈: The market is constantly changing. Pivoting allows you to stay relevant and meet your customers' demands. -> Increase Your Chances of Success 🌟: Many successful companies today started with a different idea and pivoted based on real-world feedback. Don’t be afraid to make bold changes. Embrace agility and turn feedback into a pathway to success! #launchfast #pivot #startuplife #entrepreneurship #innovation #MVP #productdevelopment #businessstrategy #techstartups

Product Leader | I help SaaS products grow their market share with innovative product development, feature release velocity, and user-centric product strategy.
Stuck at $20K MRR for two years? That's not just product-market fit, friends... that's ‘product traction fit’ territory. You've got steady interest, sure, but without the growth and expansion that screams true market fit, you don't have it. It's time to face the music. That said, on the bright side it's proof that your scrappy, jump through fire-burning hoops to get customers and bootstrap tactics have been worth it, but now it’s time for a strategy shake-up. So pick yourself up on the floor and let's go 🚀. 1. Marketing as Your Roadmap Co-Pilot: Before you dive into feature frenzy, let’s get strategic with marketing. It’s all about refining that product roadmap – and yeah, it’s way smarter (and cheaper) to A/B test those value props than to gamble on features. And just look at Drift – they nailed their pre-launch with killer community-building and knowledge-sharing through their blog. 2. Hit the Mark with Product Channel Fit: Think your product’s the next big thing but nobody’s showing up? Maybe you’re not where your people are. Here’s a real-life nugget: Advising a launch team, we pivoted from a grocery web-app (crickets chirping) to a chatbot on popular recipe sites – boom, instant traffic. Lesson? Go where your audience already hangs out – think Little Mermaid, ‘where the people are.’ 3. Must hire a growth expert? No too early, become one instead.: It's never too early for some smart product growth strategies. I’m talking about honing in on that core action, doubling down on retention, and rolling out those self-sustaining engagement loops. And if you're scratching your head over this, time to hit up Reforge or Aakash Gupta's product newsletter for some wisdom. Product traction fit is just your starting line. It’s time to sprint towards true market fit with the right strategies in your toolkit. #ProductTraction #MarketFitStrategy #StartupGrowth #Entrepreneurship #ZeroToOneJourney #ProductLaunches #StartupMindset #GrowthHacking #BusinessInnovation #ProductManagementTips #TechStartups #StartupLife #InnovationStrategy #BusinessStrategy #EntrepreneurMindset #StartupSuccess #ProductDevelopment #MarketStrategy #ScalingUp #TechEntrepreneurship

Then, evaluate your competitors. What are they doing well? Where are their weaknesses? Next, craft a solid business plan. Define your vision, mission, and goals. Outline your business model. What are your revenue streams? Draft a financial plan and budget. Next up, choose your business structure. LLC or Corporation? Then, register your business name. Secure any necessary licenses. 5moI completely agree with putting ‘Focus on UX’, because it can be very easy to fall into a trap of trying to make an MVP look pretty when actually it’s a problem that you are trying to solve for users/customers
